WASHINGTON The National Organization for Marriage (NOM) released the following statement today announcing that Gov. Rick Perry has signed their marriage pledge:
"Kudos to Gov. Rick Perry for making it clear: he's a marriage champion!," said Brian Brown, president of NOM. "The purpose of NOM's Marriage Pledge is to move from vague values statements to concrete actions to protect marriage. Gov. Perry joins Michele Bachmann, Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum as a signer of NOM Marriage Pledge. By doing so, Perry makes crystal clear that, contrary to the conventional wisdom, gay marriage is going to be a bigger issue in 2012 than it was in 2008, because the difference between the GOP nominee and Pres. Obama is going to be large and clear. We look forward to demonstrating that being for marriage is a winning position for a presidential candidate."
Please read the link I posted a couple of comment above. The link takes you to a thread with links in the article, discussing the causes of homosexuality. No one is born homosexual, it is psychological conditioning and maladjustment. Most homosexuals were molested, which includes seduction, as children or adolescents, and most come from abusive/broken families. All the “gay” sex ed and over-sexualization of children affects kids who already have problems, and it is a known fact that homosexuals are and have been known throughout history to be attracted to adolescents and even children. About one third of all child molestation is same sex. That right there should be a clue.

So Perry supports actual marriage against the onslaught of perv "marriage". That's good. Some misinfo/disinfo on thread regarding being "born that way". I wonder when that lie will die. Homosexual activists themselves have admitted it was a lie, just like the "one in ten is gay" lie, that they had to admit was a lie.
I prefer the term 'malfunctioning' myself, but yes, I understand your meaning. I once got into a very amusing argument with a friend when talking about gays in the future. I mentioned quite off handedly that there won't be any gays in the future, because whatever malfunction is the actual root cause will be treatable, either before birth or afterwards, and that no one would elect to be gay if they had the option. She literally looked at me like I just had derailed a passenger train off of a bridge.
All that aside, it's not yet the case today. The long and short of our current situation is that, nature or nurture, adult homosexuals aren't physically interested in members of the opposite sex.
As a political issue, and regardless of the origin, most Americans don't think that homosexuality is something that can be overcome at this time. The context they're going to approach the issue with is 'these people are fundamentally gay, and we have to ensure they are treated the same as the rest of us'.
Knowing that, it seems that there are a lots of good and valid arguments against gay marriage, but the 'homosexuality is a choice' angle is simply not operative in modern American society. Most people don't believe it's a choice, and even people that believe my theory that it's a neurological malfunction don't see the relevance.
That sounds nice. However, defining marriage has never been a State issue. Recognizing and upholding marriage has been in regard to State Citizens; Common law marriage comes to mind. The differences between states have been few and never actually involved defining characteristics of what a marriage is but rather the requirements necessary e.g. residency, blood test, age of consent, etcetera...
There are some things unalienable as well as things reserved to the people. Things are not always a States versus Federal issue.
Government at any level redefining marriage is something new, something novel, and something absurd.
Look through the thread, I linked a test, google it....
it is true, completely destroys the Gay I was born with it idea
Everything you said is true except for the gay gene, there is a gay gene, the problem is it proves everything else that you said.
Almost all the gay genes are in heterosexuals and the gene is only in males.
It proves everything else you are saying, think about it...
There is no test for a “gay” gene, your link is just to a general google page of stuff. If you can find a specific link to something ping me. But, you won’t be able to, I guarantee it.
All that aside, it's not yet the case today. The long and short of our current situation is that, nature or nurture, adult homosexuals aren't physically interested in members of the opposite sex.
Many people who identify (at any given moment) as homosexual have had male/female relations in the past, or intermittently, and many change and give up the "gay" life. That is why finding fixed numbers of how many people are homosexual is impossible. The numbers change all the time. Many adult homosexuals have been interested in members of the opposite sex in the past, or every now and then.
Your assertion that "most Americans don't think homosexuality is something that can be overcome" is your opinion only. And if "most Americans" read the truth, which is hidden by the media, schools, universities, and government - that homosexuals can and do change - then even more Americans would know that change is indeed possible. So a lot of people (who knows how many?) believe lying propaganda is no surprise, but it is regrettable. That is why getting the truth out there is so important.
No
I said there are test for smoking and alcohol .... the gay gene, there isn’t any test for that .... they are trying to make that go away
They found the gene and now they are trying to pretend they didn’t....because like I said... it proves everything you are saying
It was one of those...I am too smart for my own good moments.
Your claim that a “gay gene” was found and now being hidden is utter nonsense. Either post a link to back up your claims or stop lying.
Little Jeremiah, posted link, hope you go to your pastor for accusing someone of being a liar without bothering to Google yourself... not just lazy, but obnoxious..
CAMPAIGN-MODE RICK PERRY
"I WILL: support sending a federal constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman... nominate to the U.S. Supreme Court and federal bench judges who are committed to restrain and to applying the original meaning of the Constitution, appoint an attorney general similarly committed... defend the federal Defense of Marriage Act vigorously in court."
I clicked your link, it’s a long page of many google links, none of which were for a “gay gene”. If you think you’ve found a source for a “gay gene”, post one link, not google page with dozens of links. You made the claim, now post your source, and not a page tons of links.
I posted a FR link above with a lot of accurate and well sourced info. Did you look at it? It’s a lot easier to read and find useful info than a google search result page.
I know you are either lying or incredibly ill-informed, one or the other.
This is the link, it isn’t a google link

A lie from 2005 that has been entirely disproven.
Give it up.
Even the homo-scientists reseraching for “gay gene” and “gay brain” proof have given it up. Why are you still beating the dead horse?
there are thousands of these, I said you could google for more
There also tons of papers.
All research stopped when they realized the logical problem ... it means the people that say Gay is only determined by birth are wrong
I don’t know why you are fighting this....it proves you are right and proves you arguments are right.
You are only wrong on this one point, haven’t you ever taken logic in school or used logic to solve a math problem? Don’ t you know how damning a gay gene is to anyone’s argument that they are born with it?
There is no “gay gene”.
Good night.
Ok, I give it up, I can see I can’t enlighten you to the fact the reason they gave up on research related to gay genes is very logical, it didn’t help their case, it didn’t advance their agenda
Boy, you are being real dense. Don’t you see having a gay gene where most of the people that have it are heterosexual?
