Not two weeks removed from cheers surrounding her momentous victory at the Iowa GOP's Straw Poll, there is a growing chorus of criticism about the way Rep. Michele Bachmann has been conducting her campaign in the Hawkeye State.
Can the "Barack Obama rock star crap."
That comes from Judd Saul, who helped organize the Blackhawk County Lincoln Day Dinner. The fundraiser, which was the day after the Straw Poll, was Texas Governor Rick Perry's first presidential campaign event in Iowa.
It was held in Waterloo, a place where she is no stranger. Bachmann proudly states she is from Waterloo and It is also where she officially launched her White House bid.
But Saul says Bachmann's behavior at the dinner left folks "kinda pissed."
"(Perry) sat with people, talked with people. (Bachmann) acted like a rock star, refused to eat dinner with us," he said. "If Michele Bachmann is the hometown girl, from Waterloo, she should dine with us."
Instead, Saul points out Bachmann spent time on her campaign bus, only entering for her turn to speak at the event after she was introduced twice.
Out in Western Iowa, the chairman of the Pottawattamie County Republican Party, Jeff Jorgenson tells Fox News, "(Bachmann) hasn't been making herself available...as far as retail politics is concerned, she's got a long way to go."
In large part, Republican ire at Bachmann comes because she is seen as not fully embracing the '"rules" of Iowa campaigning.
Unlike most other states, Iowans expect candidates, even ones for 'leader of the Free World', to linger at events to talk with every person left in the room. Presidential hopefuls are also expected to take questions from not only the local media, but also everyday Iowans.

Sorry, she’s a one trick pony....and she’s used that trick up. All hat....no cattle.
Everybody Love Barry. Judd loves Barry. Don’t say anything bad about Barry.
Yeah, that “rock star” attitude doesn’t go over too well here in the midwest.
I’m watching all this with interest. I like Rep. Bachmann but I don’t think the House is a place to run for President (the Senate either, for that matter).
You noticed that too huh?
She can skip the dinner with me as long as she isn’t an illegal alien coddling La Raza suckup.
Sounds like the man is a little punk.

Of interest PING!
With Perry in, and Palin possibly in the wings, she’ll be in single digits soon. Hope she enjoyed her ride.
Bachmann has a lot to learn about campaigning.
>>Can the “Barack Obama rock star crap.”
Since these Iowans who claim to be “beyond media and above polling” and demand to be treated as America’s Kingmakers voted to elect Barak Obama in 2008, it is obvious that they like their aloof and condescending rock stars!
I am not likely going to support Bachmann, but this is just a continuation of the diva hit piece. This tactic gets old, as our side gets hit over and over and over with a single event or statement (true or not). Bachmann has only been accused of this diva thing this one time, and it could have been any number of reasons why she did not spend more time in the event. She could have needed a little time after a long week of campaigning, had to use the bathroom or any number of things. I have generally seen Bachmann as mostly a candidate and representative OF the people, and not as some sort of person seeking the movie star treatment. We shall see if this is true, but at this point, we just keep seeing this one story from one night in Iowa regurgitated over and over now for a couple weeks.
And just who are you referring to with that comment?
Many of us tried to warn of his Socialist ideas, leanings, and associates...
we were called idiots.
Many of us said he won’t protect our rights, he’ll take them away...
we were called morons.
Many of us claimed he would bankrupt our Country...
we were called fear mongers.
Many of us cringed at his lack of executive experience...
we were called racists.
many of us voted against him...
we were called losers.
When what we said turns out to be true, what will you call yourselves?
If you’re lucky, Canadians. Otherwise, Chinese, Russians, or Venezuelans.
I now say this; This is what we get for letting the MSM choose our candidates for us.
Will we allow this to happen again? DO NOT LET THE MEDIA AND THE LEFT TO PICK OUR NOMINEE!!!
I wrote this 2 years ago.
She is a lightweight. For the life of me, I can’t understand how she got to the point she’s at. She’s much better suited to being a bomb-throwing Representative. I propose a mud-wrestling match between her and Debbie Blabbermouth Schultz.
Anyone who panders to illegals and sucks up to La Raza. They know who they are.
So a guy who holds a fundraiser for Rick Perry doesn’t like Michele Bachmann? Oh brutha.
Fox and the rest of the media can take their perception-directing, phony baloney “news stories” and stuff ‘em.
I thought Michelle jumped the shark for once and all time with that video footage of her summoning the ghost of Elvis
by entreating the crowd to celebrate his “birthday” with her, when it was of course his death day. It was the over-the-top enthusiasm, coupled with the stupid blunder (exactly, in its way, like stating that John Wayne, and not John Wayne Gacy, was also from Waterloo—appatently a bit of bad Goodle research by her staff) that made her look like a bit of a ninny playing the crowd cheaply, and unable to go much further in forging a persona for herself as a real Presidential candidate. I was never all that enthusiastic about her anyway, but she is adorably cute for her age.
