There is some evidence that while waiting for a potential Sarah Palin presidential run, her potential voters have moved on and now support other tea party-backed candidates, such as Rick Perry or Michele Bachmann.
Has Sarah Palin waited too long to announce shes running for president?
(...) So if she does throw her snow machine helmet into the ring, she might start a White House race closer to the back of the pack than the front.
First, lets address the waiting part. The former Alaska governor on Tuesday denied that she intends to announce a White House bid on September 3, (...)

Palin might use the September 3 address to endorse another candidate. She might use it to make it clear she will announce at some point Governor Perry used that same sort of slow-unveiling strategy as he edged into the race.
But the problem is at this point she may be exhausting the patience of potential Palinites.
(snip)
I think Palin could get back a number of voters should she get into the race people who gave up on her running and moved on to someone else. But, I do not think it would put her in a strong enough position to get into first or second place, writes Erickson.
Some other analysts are less negative. In an opinion piece for CNN, political scientist Paul Sracic of Youngstown State University in Ohio writes that Palins on-camera optimism about America seems natural and akin to that of GOP icon Ronald Reagan.
This offers at least the possibility that, despite her current low standing in the polls, she will be able to leap-frog over the more negative sounding Bachmann and Perry, and compete head-to-head with Romney, writes Sracic.

Oh yes, bless their Li'l Ol' hearts!
The kindest thing I've read about them is this:
...pundits, and concern trolls...
And other delusional idiots who feel entirled to redirect what informed adults think.
The first Tuesday of Nov. would work nicely for me and give many of us more to be thankful for at Thanksgiving.
I hope she doesnt announce till after Halloween. The first Tuesday of Nov. would work nicely for me and give many of us more to be thankful for at Thanksgiving.
I think the following illustrates there are some drop dead dates looming that must be met if one is going to be in the GOP Primary.
Examples: October 31, Halloween is the date by which candidates must file to be on the ballot in the Florida primary.
South Carolina’s deadline is the next day;
New Hampshire’s is a little more than two weeks later.
No, Not a chance!
Here’s how I see it:
The Dems want to unload on Perry, but are showing “restraint” because they don’t want to play into Sarah’s hand. If they shoot down Perry too soon, in comes Palin. I think that may be why they keep trying to force her to jump in now. Sarah is not only politically savvy, she is a God-honoring woman, who I believe will enter as the Spirit leads her. God Bless our Sarah!
The armies of Soros operatives and DU losers pretending to offer her advice.
Only "supporters" who would make ridiculous statements like this are left. Sad.
RE: Palin’s rock solid base
Gen. Burkhalter, post 188:
“Sarah is to the GOP what Nancy Pelousy is to the Democrats. She is wildly popular among the Party faithful, but not so among independents, and certainly a demonizing and polarizing figure among the other party.

You are dead on! You have stated exactly what is happening in just a few words. Thanks
Have a really high opinion of yourself, do you?
Good luck with that.
Well, being born and raised in Texas and with family still in Texas I hear about Texas politics almost daily. And having lived there till 1996 I have a pretty fair knowledge of what’s going on there. So you might say, I am temporarily absent from Texas.
Yes.
In a word, No.
Well said and I don't understand why more people don't GET this.
We need drastic, unprecedented reductions in government and spending. We need entire goverment agencies completely shut down.
Those who aren’t impatient children are fine....
Well, then, I hope she files Oct. 31, although I don’t know if too much would be lost if she skipped Iowa, S. Carolina and Florida and went straight to N. Hampshire.
I’m content to wait until the end of September. She has my vote and support the minute she announces. I will be donating time and money to her campaign.
RUN SARAH RUN!
That said...if she does not enter the race..Perry will probably get my vote out of the others in the race.
Plus, I do read up on a lot of what Perry has done in TX and it ain’t all good. I am interested in getting someone in the White house that will do what they say and not be accountable to the GOP establishment.
Perry is a RINO, an open borders arse, he has demonstrated statist actions in requiring the Gardusil inoculations among a number of things like endorsing Al Gore.
I don’t trust Perry any farther than I could throw him. Palin has demonstrated she does what she says she will. And she has demonstrated an amazing ability to solve problems. And we got a lot of problems
So save your breath trying to paint me as a hearsay reactionary.
One thing I have learned in my short life.. Patience.. I supported her (NOT McStain) 3 years ago.. and I stand supporting her now. WHEN she announces that she is NOT running, then I will set her free (not really... I will write her name on the ballot to make a point).
No, but butt munchers in the media have!
Didn't know this....good. The later the better. The real deadline is November 21st, the sign up for the Missouri Caucus, she should wait till Nov. 20th.
