I will agree that the NJ coastal areas may fare the worst in this because of the time of the high tides and arrival of the storm. Tides have been unusually high the past couple of weeks. Key West has had flooding and so have other areas. I have 2 nieces that live in NJ, about 5 miles from the coast. My sister is in Maryland, on the bay, not the coast. Will get updates from them as the night progresses.

I have a dozen family members on the Jersey waters edge. They refused to leave. I practically begged for them to leave, but no go...

My sisters house is on a barrier Island. About 10 feet above sea level. She evacuated to the coast, Looking out at the water. Like watching a slow motion train wreck.

Man I know we might be wimps as far as tropical storms go....but its blowing pretty good right now in Delran NJ. We have torrential rain...about 45 mph winds and are under our 2nd tornado warning of the night. I know its minor compared to what folks in the south have experienced....but can't get in touch with relatives closer to the coast...reports are a tonado may have touched down there...pretty sure and hopeful they just lost power.
