....The image of Rick Perry and Barack Obama that has been circulating is worth 300, at most. The above side-by-side comparison, tweeted by David Limbaugh, has torn through the Internets of late. Its supposed to be a side-by-side comparison. True, Obama is not actually 22. Hes 20. From a 20-year-olds perspective, this is a tremendous and unbridgeable gap, but to everyone else its a case of potato, potato. But lets take this as a comparison.
What can we learn upon analyzing this photo?
Perry accessorizes with airplanes.
Obama accessorizes with very, very ill-advised hats.
Perry gets a cool fighter suit. Obama gets a hipster button-down.
Perry is looking heroically off into the distance through aviator sunglasses as though auditioning for a less homoerotic Top Gun.
Obama is smoking.
And Boys will be boys . of all the slightly offensive captions.
There is an antiquated notion that the camera does not lie, or that the camera captures your soul, or that the camera adds 10 pounds, or that well, something to do with the camera. There is some notion about cameras. Im sorry, let me start over.
[snip]
To me, this is a less a profile in character than it is a handy side-by-side primer on how to look good and how to look awful in a picture.
Standing next to an airplane in aviator gear? Cool. Smoking in a stupid hat? Uncool. The only way Barack Obama would look worse would be if he were wearing a fanny-pack, if he were denying an old woman health care, or if someone had drawn....
Nobody looks uncool when standing next to an airplane and looking as though he has a handle on what to what to do when he gets inside it.....

When your choice is Perry or Obama, what will you do?
The federal government is not about to pay tax payer monies on a border who’s governor wants it an open border. He’s already go tmore than any other state from the government and it’s not working. When Perry gets serious about closed borders and cleaning out the sewer there...then our Gov. can talk. But it is beyond astounding any would throw any more money on Texas border to ‘Protect Texans robust industries” there....and on the Mexico border. Mexico and Texas can and should handle their own security if they require the border remains oppen for all the commerce they do there.
Those aren’t the only choices as you know.
You trying to say something? Cat got your tongue?
He looks like the pimp’s personal boytoy beeyotch.
When your choice is Perry or Obama, what will you do?
I want to know where you get the idea Gov. Perry wants open borders. Show me a link to a statement.
Here’s something for you to think about: On August 9, 2010, Gov. Perry had to meet Pres. Bozo on the tarmac at Austin to give him a letter asking him to secure the border. He had repeatedly asked for a meeting with Pres. Bozo on this issue, and Pres. Bozo had repeatedly refused, so Gov. Perry had to intercept him on the tarmac as he was leaving the plane. Bozo would not even take the letter - Gov. Perry had to give it to Valerie Jarrett!
If you would take the time to read his book, “Fed Up!” you would understand that Gov. Perry IS NOT FOR OPEN BORDERS!!! He wants the FedGov to do its job to secure the borders (as required by the Constitution), because our national security depends on it.
Perry never speaks of ‘closed’ borders.....and he’s very careful to distinguish that from his consistant use of
‘secure’ borders.
You can throw only so much money, from the US tax payers, at Perry’s demands the Gov. “secure” his borders.....when he isn’t serious about stopping the illegals from coming in and all the while supporting them via comunity services...
Perry is unwilling to ‘close’ the border for the the revenues he gets from foreign and local industries opening there, and the promise of cheap labor to them....you close the borders his flaunting employment opportunities goes down the tubes. He is not going to yield the “boom” on your southern border...not going to happen. He wants “security” for the industires and such so he can continue to do just what he has been. But has made it clear..NO fences...no closed borders.
Further Perry’s recruiting and supporting Muslim infiltration and participation with them in establishing a “Western Base for Islam”, which they have so stated, flies in the face of Perry claiming ‘security for our nation’ when in fact his actions speak far louder.
Texas has had plenty of Gov. monies thrown at it’s borders....it’s not working....Perry going to Obama for more money and the use of National guard is counterproductive in light of his willingness to sustain and permote the stauts quo on his border.
Again answeing your question....there are other candidates besides the two you listed.
Enjoy the truth for a change....

Oh really!.....
Quote from Rick Perry.....President Foxs vision for an 'open border' is a vision I embrace.
And read more on Perry's open border statements here:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2764423/posts
Why didn’t you quote the rest of the sentence and following?
“as long as we demonstrate the will to address the obstacles to it. An open border means poverty has given way to opportunity, and Mexico’s citizens do not feel compelled to cross the border to find that opportunity. It means we have addressed pollution concerns, made substantial progress in stopping the spread of disease, and rid our crossings of illicit drug smuggling activity. Clearly we have a long way to go in addressing those issues.”
The rest of his statement shows that there are a lot of things that would need to be changed for borders to be “open.”
Here is what he says in his book “Fed Up!” published Nov. 2010:
“One of Washington’s greatest failures has been its unwillingness to secure our nation’s borders. Reasonable folks can disagree on many issues regarding immigration policy generally, but border security cannot be held hostage to another failed attempt at solving, in one fell swoop, all the problems of our immigration system. Our broken borders put lives at risk. They make a mockery of the rule of law.” page 116
“We can have all the immigration debates we want, but Americans are demanding that the border be secured first.” page 120
“Yet states and local communities have a duty to protect the safety of their citizens and, moreover, a long-sesttled right to facilitate enforcement of federal law. The longer the feds sit idly by, the more localities that will follow with measures similar to Arizona’s. A patchwork is exactly what we will have all over this country until the federal government finally decides to step up to the plate and address our border security problems.” pages 124-125
All he wants to change is to secure Government funding for his agenda on his borders....and to continue coddling to immigrants and the Muslim investors who are gaming his state...and lining his states coffers.
No...they are demanding the Borders be 'closed'..... you cannot have a secure border until you close it and clean out the rubble.
I get a kick out of the verbage use by Perry....he rides the poltical line but will not close his borders. Says it all. No to Perry!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! My dog is staring at me while I laugh. Thanks. :-)
Sorry, but when I read “secure” I read “closed.”
Definition of “secure”: to make firm or tight; to capture or confine; to make certain; to guard from danger or risk of loss; to make (a military position) safe from attack.
Gov. Perry was in the military, so I expect he uses “secure” in the military sense, which would include “closed.”
DUmmie???
P.S. I’m not going to quibble about “secure” and “closed” anymore. You are from Pennsylvania. I am from Texas. I think that just about says it all.
You don’t want to discern the difference? and that evidences you’d be willing to swallow whatever kool-id Perry serves. Just like the Obama followers...avoiding and dodging.
Perry uses the words “secure” because he has no intentions of closing the borders and Perrybots know this all to well....especially those feeding at revenue table Texas has for catering to illegals and chumming up with Muslim investors.
All goes down to the dollar....and Texas likes the big ones no matter if it puts our nation at risk.
Pennsylvania is my home state....have lived in five other states. Pennsylvanias know enough to discern intentions....they don’t swallow pies whole and then belly ache that someone else fed it to them.
