....The image of Rick Perry and Barack Obama that has been circulating is worth 300, at most. The above side-by-side comparison, tweeted by David Limbaugh, has torn through the Internets of late. Its supposed to be a side-by-side comparison. True, Obama is not actually 22. Hes 20. From a 20-year-olds perspective, this is a tremendous and unbridgeable gap, but to everyone else its a case of potato, potato. But lets take this as a comparison.
What can we learn upon analyzing this photo?
Perry accessorizes with airplanes.
Obama accessorizes with very, very ill-advised hats.
Perry gets a cool fighter suit. Obama gets a hipster button-down.
Perry is looking heroically off into the distance through aviator sunglasses as though auditioning for a less homoerotic Top Gun.
Obama is smoking.
And Boys will be boys . of all the slightly offensive captions.
There is an antiquated notion that the camera does not lie, or that the camera captures your soul, or that the camera adds 10 pounds, or that well, something to do with the camera. There is some notion about cameras. Im sorry, let me start over.
[snip]
To me, this is a less a profile in character than it is a handy side-by-side primer on how to look good and how to look awful in a picture.
Standing next to an airplane in aviator gear? Cool. Smoking in a stupid hat? Uncool. The only way Barack Obama would look worse would be if he were wearing a fanny-pack, if he were denying an old woman health care, or if someone had drawn....
Nobody looks uncool when standing next to an airplane and looking as though he has a handle on what to what to do when he gets inside it.....

Traffic, parking study gives more details of plans to move 120,000 fans at F1 track ...........>>>>The revised plan is for an F1 race only. MotoGP races and Australian V8 Supercars are also planned at the circuit beginning in 2013, but those events are expected to draw fewer people than F1, the study said. Organizers will use versions of the F1 plan for those races, including a more detailed motorcycle parking plan for MotoGP races. <<<<<

Perry Touts Balanced-Budget Measure The good news is that we ignored those voices, as we have done in the past, because we know higher taxes kill jobs, Perry said. We held the line on taxes and balanced the budget, exactly like we said wed do.
In his usual anti-Washington tone, Perry railed against federal lawmakers who he said continue to balloon the countrys deficit.
Its time for Washington, D.C., to take a little lesson from Texas, he said.[end]
The Patriot and the Pimp
Does that mean you agree with Perry’s granting of In-State Tuition for Illegal Aliens as well as the Texas tax payer giving 250 million dollars to Bernie Ecclestone to build an F1 Track in Austin?
If that's all it is, they should have no trouble finding photos of Obama that are "in" context.
Maybe his first act as President will be to give you a Gardasil enema.
IF you'd rather NOT be pinged FReepmail me.
IF you'd like to be added FReepmail me. Thanks.
Quit embelishing. It’s $25 million and the taxpayers are suing the comptroller.
What can we learn upon analyzing this photo?
Rick Perry’s nose is the same.
Barry had a different nose. (plastic surgery to make his less....obvious)?
bump
“We “hate” all the “dirty” revenue that business brings to Texas.”
As for me, I love the private sector and if the private sector believed that the Formula One Track in Austin would be profitable, they would have invested the 250 million dollars with Bernie Ecclestone.
However, under Perry the Texas tax payer is being forced to fund this private venture which is owned a European socialist.
Sounds Like Socialism to Me!
“Its $25 million and the taxpayers are suing the comptroller.”
No, it’s 25 million per year for ten years for a total of 250 million dollars!

Well, I guess it means that now we need a whole series of posters, showing comparisons at all different ages including the present.
Might want to use other candidates as well. In that Anybody Buy Obama 2012 theme.
North Austin bike trail unbuilt two years after getting stimulus grant (why we're tanking)
Shovel ready, it turns out, doesn't always mean shovel ready.
In the first year of the Obama administration, the federal government awarded Austin a $1.9 million stimulus grant for a project the city called "shovel ready": a 3.2-mile concrete bicycle trail along the northern portion of Walnut Creek in North Austin. More than two years later, there is only a clear-cut, 20-foot-wide swath, along with some partially buried metal rods and concrete along the creek.
Work has stopped and will not resume anytime soon. The city, after fearing it would lose the federal money, is starting over. Oversight of the project has been moved to a different city department. And city officials terminated the project's landscape architecture firm and construction company, which have been paid more than $1 million combined for plans that are being abandoned and construction work that might have to be redone.
Lawyers for the two firms and the city disagree about who was at fault, who should have been paid and how much.
City employees, in emails to one another, have called the project "troubled," an "embarrassment to the city" and a "typical (City of Austin) problem."
The completion date is now tentatively May 2013. That is four years after city and state officials deemed the project "shovel ready" and therefore eligible for stimulus money.
"We are extraordinarily disappointed with what's been happening," said Javier Bonafont, president of the Walnut Crossing Neighborhood Association, which oversees an area west of MoPac Boulevard (Loop 1) and north of Duval Road. "That path is supposed to provide us safe access across MoPac and to places like Austin Community College. Now it's just a scar along the back of people's properties.<<<....
Whata FREAKING difference in our LEADERS!!! Plus, wasn't Perry an Eagle Scout?
Its not a matter of agreeing with Perry; its a matter of having enough sense to know that our two party system presents us with a choice of lesser evils or the opportunity of exercising no choice at all. If you believe that Paul or Obama are lesser evils, go for it and see where it gets this country. But take the stories you think everyone needs to know about Perry somewhere else. They are stale. I live in Texas, graduated from Texas A&M a few years before Perry, followed a similar post-college path, am familiar with his hardscrabble origins, recognize he is not perfect, but have little patience for the kinds of really old stuff that self-identified sages like yourself bring to the table.
Here is the first debate Rick Perry is scheduled to attend [Sept 7].

Well, you need to take an economics class.
Wait a minute, That's probably because they all are stoned losers.
“But take the stories you think everyone needs to know about Perry somewhere else. They are stale.”
How can they be stale when that 250 million dollars of tax payer money will be going into Bernie Ecclestone’s pockets for the next ten years?
And how can it be stale when on this very day Illegal Aliens are populating Texas universities and paying In-State tuition.
Stale?
Do Socialist spending and liberal social policies really have an expiration date?
