"Both general aviation and commercial aircraft use the public airspace and air traffic control facilities, and the public has a right to information about their activities." Oh, please. We all use public streets and sidewalks, which doesn't mean the police have a right to monitor our movements and let the world know where we go.

NP,

Well, she’s a blonde ;P

There's a special section for that on the FAA's pilot's license application form... ;)

LOL. Ok, this may sound trivial. Question: are there TSA jackboots there to molest/pat you down when you head towards your aircraft or do private pilots/owners have their own entrances and don’t need to put up with the TSA?

Private pilots/owners have their own entrances and don’t need to put up with the TSA.

However, depending upon your passenger, pat downs may be required... Hehehe

To be honest, AOPA pushes a partnership with TSA called Airport Watch. All of the pilots/owners that I know take security of the airport and of our planes very seriously. We all know one another and we're a pretty observant bunch.

I just found your reply.

Can I provide any link to documentation backing this up?

NO. Not all the legislation is in place.

There are so many new EPA regulations coming out it is like trying to read the healthcare bill.

I wish I could point to a specific law, or article in the MSM about the subject, but so far, I can’t.

Do you fly a private plane?

P.S. Have you read some of the other posts on this thread?

Can you offer an alternate explanation for why the government is considering this requirement?

* LSA, Auto Gas... * Maybe a Clipped Wing Cub or T-Craft * A starter, but no Alternatorr * No Alternator so no Transponder. No lights so no night flying. VFR Daytime, Uncontrolled, and a hand-held...

I started there...I may go back!

Nothing definitive, However I can also speculate.

Ray LaHood is a politician from Illinois, and like all politicians from Illinois, his head is so far up his arse that he can taste & see yesterday's breakfast.

Just wait until the paparazzi figure out they can track their 'favorite' celebs by tracking their flight plan...not to mention the stalkers the celebs attract.

Maybe it will go back to the privacy option for some, then. Penny stinkers (as if one could afford an airplane) need not apply...

Thank you for reminding me that I should reveal when I'm speculating versus stating it authoritatively as if I have some written proof. That was misleading.

Ray LaHood is a politician from Illinois, and like all politicians from Illinois, his head is so far up his arse that he can taste & see yesterday's breakfast.

Yeah... so I guess we are EQUAL on this PROOF issue.

Thanks. I’ve had the link to that video on my bookmarks for many, many years. I even downloaded it to my hard drive.

Here are two of my other favorites. And you MUST have the SOUND ON.

Thank you, but I consider the last one to be a huge display of stupidity and of disregard for other human lives.
