As has been said before, Lyme disease is nasty!
I don't believe he "stood up" but he did stand out?
Prayers up for this man who was brave enough to tell the truth about The Kenyan.
My friend’s 32 YO SIL had to have a heart transplant from Lyme disease.
excellent hospital he’s in
Buy it, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS, and use it.
Lyme disease is forever.
One of the signs is that it looks like a target...with rings. If you see something that looks like that get to a dr fast. It’s treatable if gotten to early.
You’re right, Lonestar. I got Lyme disease in ‘94 after a tick dropped out of a tree onto my back while I was mowing my yard with a RIDING mower. I found the tick that night while showering, on my upper left back. The very next morning, when I looked in the mirror, I was shocked to see such a definite red ring around the bite, probably 2” across!
I called in to work and went right to the doctor. I was put on a strong anti-biotic for the next 6 weeks, I think it was, and an EKG was run on me to see what my heart looked like while it was healthy. That scared me and while I don’t cry easily, I cried alot that day, because my husband had just died a year before and I still had a 2 year old to raise. I was really worried about her.
They tell me because I got treatment so early after the bite, it is as if I never had it. I can only thank God for the warning sign that day; who knows how bad things might have gotten if I hadn’t been alerted!
I know a couple of people with Lyme Disease, and it has seriously affected them neurologically. IIRC, there’s no cure; all the doctors can do is manage your symptoms, and it can disable you to the point that you can’t work (or do much else). I’m really sorry to hear the Joe Wilson has this.
Regarding my statement that there’s no cure, I’ve learned from the other posts in this thread that it IS curable if it’s caught very early. I’m glad to know that.
Amazing story, also informative and valuable.
I am out mowing and trimming nearly constantly from spring until fall and you are the first to point out, to me at least, the imperative of a good once-over at day’s end.
Thanks.
Rep Wilson doesn’t have a Twitter Account ... but I tweeted John Boehner and Eric Cantor asking them to extend our prayers to him.
Rep Joe Wilson has been justified many times over ... God Bless and Heal him.
A friend got it twice, and among relatives several have gotten it, some more than once. Also a good friend’s son got it very badly and it was misdiagnosed. All eventually got well, but with the friend’s son it took a long, long time.
It really needs to be attended to immediately, and not all ticks infected with Lyme’s make the bullseye ring, unfortunately. Any tick bite (the small deer ticks that carry it, not the big regular ticks) should be treated as potentential Lyme’s, if a person lives in an area with a lot of it.
Prayers up for him and his family.
Does anyone think Hussein looks over his shoulder, and wonders if his next unconstitutional act will get him impeached and convicted? No, the practical power of impeachment no longer exists.
The Framers gave us a nonviolent means of removing oppressors. Instead of storming the White House and doing nasty things to Him and his ministers, we are supposed to calmly remove Him from office. That is no longer possible.
Prayers to Congressman Wilson.
Prayer for complete healing for Joe and your dad!
Prayers up for a gutsy man.
Get well soon.
