are we all gonna die?
Yeah and even up here in the Great Lakes guess we should move our SUVs up the driveway in case the rivers run backwards.
When does the looting start?
Wonder if the media will report it when it does start.
Maybe I'll make it back to Richmond (from DFW) after all...
100 Million?
The country has a population of 300+ Million...I never realized that a third of the population lived on the East Coast. Color me dumbfounded.
I don’t think the eye will make landfall but I’m sure there is going to be a lot of wind and rain for the East Coasters!
Bush and Rove steering one to New England now, huh?
Oh great. Now Obama will have another excuse to use. “If it wasn’t for Hurricane Irene, The Country Would be Well Into A Prosperous Recovery!!!
I’m hoping for the best in a bad situation.
I’ve vacationed since childhood in Narragansett/Pt. Judith/Galilee/Block Island. They are right on the path. The same cottages have been there a very long time. Prayers for the fishermen and residents.
so journalists are rushing to the scene
For folks who live in southern NE, such as I, keep a close watch on the weather and Godspeed.
Hope all will be safe. Here in Texas we would give anything for some rain. Mother Nature’s distribution system is haywire this year.
I agree. People should pay attention - this storm is no joke. It could be serious trouble for many people.
So if it’s only cloudy where you live, you’re part of the 100 million !
10 drops of rain, you’re part of that 100 million !
Stay safe biggirl. I remember Gloria in 85, the eye went right over our house. It took 7 days to get power and about 3 days of my dad and I chainsawing the driveway to get out of the house. And that was a Cat 1.
Need to get a better chainsaw tomorrow if possible, along with gas. We can hold out for a week or two without power, but I’ll be busy cutting with the forest around us and those winds.
