To: Recon Dad

I wanted to get off foreign oil. I wanted nat gas and electric cars to work. I am a fan of nanosolar technologies. I admit this freely.

We have energy reserves right now which, if opened up, would crush the rest of the world entire. Oil. Natural gas. Coal.

And, with the profits, we could improve future technologies and make gasoline out of flowers and grass, like AFRL already has. We could rebuild roads and bridges. We could simply tell the Middle Eastern and South American dictators to go pound sand.

Locking up our energy reserves for some future that may or may not exist as the United States of America is dereliction of duty to defend this country.

Oh. One more thing.

Neither China nor India are getting off oil, coal, etc.

Gee. Is that where our 35% increase in electricity bills is going? To build Chinese power plants and Indian gas stations?
