"When you look at African American males, 40% of them are unemployed, those under 30 years of age. I understand exactly the entire nation must be involved in this recovery but the black community is experiencing a great recession. That's what we're experiencing," Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL) told MSNBC.
"And all of the growth in the past 30 years, we see it slipping away. From home ownership, the middle class; it's slipping away from our hands. And it has a lot to do with many issues. Racism, shipping jobs overseas, access -- no access to technology. You know, the digital divide is there and many of the new jobs that's what it requires. So, we have a problem."

"The usual amount?"
“.......African American males, 40% of them are unemployed, those under 30 years of age. “
In my interest of wanting to help out when I can, I suggest that she check the prison system for her missing tribes.
I am sooooo damn sick of this racist crap and the “woe is me” garbage, so much so, that I really don’t care what these morons have to say anymore and I refuse to be polite about it.
The middle class is slipping away from ALL Americans not just _________ (Insert special class) Americans.
The company doesn't even know what to do with all it's cash but pay taxes and be nice to employees who are in turn as nice to the company.
Hint............In a recession, food manufacturers experience good economic times. The more basic the food, the higher the sales and profits. So please folks, please keep eating oatmeal, peanut butter and jelly, crackers, and noodles even once Obama is gone and things get better! My children's college fund depends on me keeping that machinery busy.
In January 2009 high school students at one of the schools I was working at then commented that Obozo was going to take care of all their needs; that they would get all kinds of “free” stuff and wouldn’t have to work. Guess what color these high school students were?
IMHO one of the best documentaries of American finance, race relations, entitlement, and prostitution of all types ever put to screen.
Their food bills, car payments, rent, or medical care. The notion that not one black or white leader or journalist didn't follow up their comments with a question asking if they thought that was appropriate?, shows you what disdain and loathing that the political and media establishment has for black people who experience the condition of being common.
This article made me smile, as I have the opposite problem here.
I run a small business, and we are part of a local voluntary apprenticeship scheme. 3 times a year, I get an apprentice for a few months from the local community college or dole (welfare) office to train to do something useful.
I don’t get paid for this. Nor do my three regular staff, though I usually bump something into their pay packet as comp for the inconvenience.
OK, we have slightly different demographics here in the UK, but I always smile if, on the first day the apprentice shows up, he is black rather than white, as I know he or she is going to show up and at least complete the training.
The whites around here are trash, plain and simple. Generations on welfare, and a huge sense of entitlement and zero responsibility. Most of the black people around here are of Jamaican descent, where their grandparents came over in the 50s to work. And they still have, unlike the whites, a very, very strong idea of family.
Sure, they may try it on, skip days to hang with their friends, what have you, but the very first time they try, I phone their mothers.
I have had a 4 foot nothing grandmother drag her 6 foot grandsonson in, 2 hours late, by his ear, screaming at him all the while.
You honestly have not seen a fury like a totally enraged Jamaican woman laying into her child about hard work and sacrifice!
My three full time employees? All people I took on after their apprenticeship period. Two men, one woman, all of them local, all of them black, all of them married now. Frequent and welcome guests in my house, as I am in theirs - yes, they all own their own homes, or co-own with a housing association. One still gets a day off a week to do his college work.
There was a fourth, but he is now running his own business, and we trade off jobs, depending on which of us has a rush on.
Not one of the white kids sent to me has ever even finished his time .... then again, not one of them had what you or I would call a family.
I totally agree with the poster on the first page of comments - about the pull your pants up, finish school, etc. but, while family is being negated or destroyed by the state, you are ALWAYS going to have this underclass of parasites.
I've experienced the racism first hand.
Blacks hated whites so much they simply refuse to work for whites “Dat be slabbery”.
There's the road, AMF.
I found your post very interesting.
We have Blacks similar to what you have, I call them conservatives. They work for what they get out of life.... they are proud Americans and they should be.
Your theme on family is extremely important, regardless of skin color or country.
As I see it, folks get together and bring babies into the world. Some of these folks RAISE their children, others simply watch these little people grow into big people, with little more effort or concern than it takes to raise a houseplant.
I am the oldest of 6 brats from a dirt poor family. I was brought up in the 50’s. Our parents “raised” us. Frankly, I didn’t even know we were poor until I was around 13 and only after the kids at school told me.
We all pitched in to make everything work. I miss those days so very much.
I have been unemployed for a total of 3 months during my entire working life. I have never claimed a dime of unemployment. I have owned two small businesses, worked a few general labor jobs and enjoyed two careers.
I retired at 53, I am about to turn 63 and I don’t expect to ever return to work.... but if I did, my boss would love me. ;>) To be honest, I’d likely go back to work, but duty related injuries and other health issues keep beating me up. Oh to be young again......
When you subsidize failure you get more of it. I can’t think of a worse idea than paying someone who isn’t interested in school to attend.
Bbbut I thought he was an honor student!
I hope you’ll roll with a big LD, with a capped grill and a padded top! Then you be pimpin’! If folks ask, hjust say you’re goin’ out to git som Ho Hos!
Eric Holder is one of the worst!
