TRIPOLI: Tripoli is "under control" of the regime, a son of Libyan strongman Muammar Gaddafi claimed early on, after rebels said they had taken most of the capital and gunfire rattled the port city.
Seif al-Islam, wanted by the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity, met some journalists just hours after ICC prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo said rebel forces had arrested him.
"Tripoli is under our control. Everyone should rest assured. All is well in Tripoli," the defiant son of the Libyan strongman told the three journalists at a vacant lot outside his father's Bab al-Azizya compound in Tripoli in the very early hours of Tuesday.

As Yogi Berra once said, “it ain’t over til it’s over”.
I hope they both lose.
Did you hear McLaim on tv tonight after his grand Gaddafi removal celebration yesterday turned out to be not quite a celebration?
He was mumbling about how dangerous Gaddafi is, and how we must support his removal because all those arms he has cached over there can absolutely not be allowed to fall in the hands of al Queda. ROFL!
When in fact, Gaddafi has not squeaked since Reagan almost shot a rocket up his behind and dismantled his nuclear program.
What most people seem to have overlooked is that the original protesters in Libya were protesting over housing and Gaddafi appeased them with $20 billion pledged for new housing and they quit protesting....at least until the internet journalist Haaj put out the call for insurgants to flood the country. The new flood of protesters were in fact not Libyan citizens.
The question is: which side is Tripoli Bob on? The rebels claimed yesterday this same son was under house arrest.
