When the announcements are made is a completely separate calendar and has no bearing on when the primaries are and when the general election will be. Sarah Palin can announce whenever she chooses and she can announce that she’s running or that she’s opting not to run.
Rush’s comment about ‘playing politics’ about a political election seems like it may have been taken out of context or he’s simply wrong about it because everyone already knows when the elections are going to be and who the candidates are, whether they’re declared or potential at this point.
It was then that Rush made that comment to her. Rush did not specifically direct the comment to Palin, but rather any candidates who have not yet announced.
