Embarassment? Shame? Apology? For what? pointing out that your beloved trisham defined herself in one place as a conservative and in the other as an idependent? Sorry, you can't be both.

I repeat, get over yourself.

You may not be the dumbest jackass on FR, nor the biggest jerk, but you're giving both of those categories a good run......and at the same time!

Talent. That takes talent.

TEA PARTY PATRIOTS ARE BOTH INDEPENDENT AND CONSERVATIVE .

There's no rule here that conservatives have to belong to the GOP!

Again, you are out of line. Your PDS attacks have gone personal and I will defend trisham with all my might against a notorious PDS troll like you.

Oopsie, I've always thought of myself as a conservative and an independent just like Trisham. For example, if the GOP nominates Romney, who occasionally wears the republican t-shirt but is a big-government liberal at heart, I will not support him or vote for him. Now that I know it's not allowed, I'll have to rethink my values or my declared party, I suppose.

But we can. An independent is someone who is not affiliated with any specific party.

The GOP left many of us with the prominence of people like McCain, Romney, Graham, et al, whose ideology is far too left for us.

So, what trisham means is that she is not affiliated with any of the parties, but is politically conservative.

(Right, trisham?)

I can relate to this, because I'm the same way.

What party is for conservatives? Hm? There are many on FR who fled the Rinos years ago. You are waving a false flag bogey man.

>>conservative and in the other as an idependent? Sorry, you can't be both.<<

Don’t be naïve. I’m both an independent and conservative. What do you think independent means anyway? Independent from being a conservative? Independent from the conservatives who support Perry? What? Maybe you could enlighten by posting the official platform of the "conservatives" as it relates to the official platform of the independents.

Really, how is it you can’t be a conservative and an independent? What if you can’t support the Republican party as it is right now and prefer not to be registered as one? What if you think yourself more conservative and can’t support a party that no longer shares your values? Independent can mean those squishy middle types, sure, but it doesn’t have to. I’m a registered Republican, I’d like the party to return to it’s conservative roots and think the best way to do is change it from within. Others don’t. Nothing wrong with that.

One can't be a conservative and an independent???

What utter nonsense.

An "independent" is somebody who is unaffiliated with a party. Plenty of conservatives are independents. I'm one.
