Ron Paul - Mr. End the Fed - jumps to Bernanke's defense, dings Perry
NBC ^

CONCORD, N.H. -- Congressman Ron Paul wasted no time here joking that "some Southern governor," (referring to his governor, Rick Perry, but not naming him), makes him look moderate.

"I have never once said Bernanke committed treason," the Texas congressman said, chuckling. That was greeted with thunderous applause from the 600 supporters awaiting him at a campaign office opening.

Playing the moderate angle kind of fits what he has done as the Chairman of the House Domestic Monetary Policy Committee- nothing.

Just another old career pandering politician who likes the story alive, not actually make changes.

I suspect a great deal of the propaganda and lies being fed to the progressive commies come right out of the Ron Paul campaign.

Ron Paul did the same thing to Herman Cain when he knew Cain supported his audit the fed policy. Paul just flat out lied.

I think Perry went over the top with his comments about Bernanke and treason and squandered a term best reserved for Obama. But it is a minor criticism as this whole administration deserves being trashed.

I also see no reason for the other candidates to comment about it one way or the other as it gets them all off message.

“I have never once said Bernanke committed treason”

Neither did Rick Perry. For Paul to allude that he did is another reason that Ron is not fit to be President IMHO.

The thing is that while Ron Paul holds some principles I deeply admire, he is an ineffective national politician.

Perry focused more critically-needed attention on this issue by the use of one controversial word than Paul has with decades of books and speeches.

Paul should have said that the language was over the top, but he’s glad to have Perry on board on the issue, which Paul has been leading for years.

I think Perry went over the top with his comments about Bernanke and treason ...

If Perry would have followed up with the fact that Bernanke gave European banks $16 Trillion, I don't think his comment could have been argue with. One would think that Ron Paul would have come to Perry's defense since he's the one that made the CBO do the audit.

Ron Paul is senile. He’s a shadow of his young self and now only reflects the kooky libertarians who have taken over his body and mind. Very sad.

He’s a shadow of his young self...

Remember, his team had to reject his 'young self' when they rejected he wrote his newsletters. So much of who he was involved his writings and when it came out there was conspiratorial, racist and antisemitic crap in them, they had to deny he wrote them. They can't pick and choose after all. Either he wrote them or he didn't. They can't say, well he wrote the good stuff but not the bad stuff.

MSNBC is extremely slanted to the left and socialist but when it comes to Ron Paul I’m going to listen up because they are telling the truth NOT half truths or outright lies... when it comes to Ron Paul. Yup

Ron Paul may have gotten the bill to audit the FED Reserve passed the first time in history BUT what he sayed about Perry shows that he is for the FED Reserve system and has not spent his entire life fighting against it or written books calling to END THE FED.

Actually, in the end he ended up voting against his ‘audit the fed’ bill because it didn’t guarantee shutting down the fed. IE, he sabotaged his own bill. He also has failed to do anything (or really even try) now that he is in the catbird seat a chair of the house committee on monetary policy.

Actually, you don’t need to listen to MSNBC, just listen to or read Paul’s own words and ignore the editorializing. It is damning enough.

Do you have any idea how I could get hold of his racist newsletters? I never read them; only heard people say they were racist and that charge is a dime a dozen, as I am sure you know. Thanks.

I would start here.

There are lots of scans and transcripts floating around, even though the paultards tried to bury them. Hot Air and The National Review I know had scanned a lot of them. Folks are still finding old ones in libraries.
