You'd think that, or they could reach into their trust funds and buy a GPS. This is a weird case, isn't it? I mean, normally I'd be very upset if Americans were being held by Iran on trumped up charges.
But this is the kind of social Darwinism we haven't seen since Rachel Corrie made her little tactical misstep. About all I can muster up is a "silly hippies" and a shrug.
My vote is that this is the Iranians seizing hostages and banking them away for future trade. From what I have read, the border area that they were at is almost unmarked and it is easy to 'cross'. In fact it is possible that they did NOT cross but that the Iranians captured them in Iraq, but that has become a very moot point indeed.
