VINEYARD HAVEN, Massachusetts (Reuters) - A vacationing President Barack Obama accused Congress on Saturday of holding back the U.S. economic recovery by blocking "common sense" measures he said would create jobs and help growth.
In remarks recorded on Wednesday on his campaign-style bus tour in Illinois and aired during his holiday in Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, Obama said the stalled construction, trade and payroll tax bills could give a boost to the economy.
"The only thing preventing us from passing these bills is the refusal by some in Congress to put country ahead of party. That's the problem right now. That's what's holding this country back," the president said in his weekly radio address, which is also transmitted on the Internet.

The list of things he is not blaming would be easier.

I'm afraid our dominant culture may be dependence on our government. Pretty ironic considering Kennedy's statement of “Ask not what your country can do for, ask what you can do for your country.” .....

The Dems held complete control of Congress from 2007-2011 and they have held the Senate for more than 5 years. The Senate hasn’t passed a budget in 850 days and the Senate voted 97-0 against Obama’s FY 2012 budget plan.

Ok, then show us your plan Mr Present-ident.
So far all you have done for 3 years is give a speech then tell Congress to get back to you when they have a bill ready for you to sign.
Where is YOUR plan 0?

Whoever does it, it should be done with satire and in sound bites. Make Obama pay every day. Yea, look how well it worked for Trump. He rocketed up in the polls when he started taking on 0 daily.
The GOP Candidate also needs to completely ignore all the GOP Establishment politicians who will come out of the woodwork whining about "alienating the independents". That is nonsense
McCain tried playing nice with the 0 wrecking machine in 2008 and it destroyed his candidacy.
Conservatives and Republicans will not beat the Progressive media machine by playing nice.

0bambi promised us he would pivot on jobs.....
I think about ways to improve our economy, and get America working again, all of the time. Before a drive, before a long iron, even before a putt. Before my gourmet dinner, before ice cream and pie, before I brush my teeth. All of the time, constantly, 24/7.
0bambi DIVOTS on jobs

Boy king Barack Hussein Obama , on his royal bus tour this week through three states, was questioned by the head of the Iowa "tea party" about Vice President Joe's Biden's reportedly calling the tea partyers terrorists.
Obama denied this and, in a respectable discourse between the two, the president accused the tea party of holding Congress hostage and bringing the nation to the brink of default.
The eventual passage of the debt-ceiling bill tells a different story. The House passed the bill, but 66 Republicans, most of them tea partyers, voted "no."
However, no one seems to want to talk about the 95 Democrats voting "no."Literally half of the Democrats in the House voted against the bill, yet they are not accused of being unyielding or uncompromising.
I guess, in this case, when Democrats vote "no," it means something different.

This story is from al-Reuters. Probably written by someone from England or some other country where British dialects are common.
British don't "take vacations," rather they "go on holidays," or just "on hols" for shourt.
