Is there any other conclusion after watching the Iowa video?
It is warm and inviting and part of the reintroduction that began with the Steve Bannon movie.
I have long thought that Governor Palin has been honestly trying to figure out the best use of the energy and attention and anger! that swirls around the name Sarah Palin.
And with this video, I think she just shared which way she is leaning.
I know what you're sayin', but it already does, kinda/sorta: # 137 !
Save this code: <a href= > </a href>
Right click the number of the post you wanna bump and choose 'copy link location' (or similar wording)
Paste that copied link immediatly after the = sign in <a href= right here
And the post number (or anything else) in between the arrows pointing toward one another > like this (or) #137 (or) Go Sarah ! (etc) < .
Sounds more complex than it actually is, but you'll quickly get the hang of it .. FReepers are almost invariably clever that way !
OR
The easiest way is to hit 'post reply' to the one you like, type ! or youbetcha or tomkat rocks or drown, troll or . . . (lol)
Either method serves the dual purpose of bumping the thread/post upward in the 'activity' tab and adding the particular post you admire to your personal ping list for future reference.
/unsolicited html confusion
“_________ is a citizen who happens to be in politics.”
Dear Freepers:
The above is a quotation from someone on this thread with the name “Palin” removed. I have done so because I believe that, while my own personal choice is Sarah, it is the thought expressed in the statement that endears her to me. This sentiment expresses both what [I believe] is needed at this time and what the Founders envisioned so that America might be governed by something strikingly different from what they strove to break free from: an oligarchy of men whose job it was to ensure their own power, their own rule and whose rule was becoming increasingly oppressive to the people. In the wisdom of our Founders, citizen-servants were the desired people to lead, not a ruling class, not an elite, not a strata of folks removed from the people. If this is your belief as well, kindly submit a name you feel should be placed in the blank, type it out and make your case.
Sorry for re-posting. The original was directed to a single Freeper by mistake. I think this would make for a worthwhile discussion about where true American conservatives should look for its next leaders.

Get Out .. Get Out .. Get Out of Cheney's house !

“I’ve recently been diagnosed with PBD — Palin Bipolar Disorder. Woman makes me nuts...LOL. I’ve dealt with it by just deciding to let her do her thing and quit worrying. :)”—Al. B
That makes three of us. I have had this particularly disorder for about about nine months now. It case one to say and react in a uncharacteristic ways.
It must be contagious - I pray that it spreads everywhere!
At A&M. You need to know what that means.
Yep, just press here! lol
I am not sure that the Founders had this in mind. They were, after all, mebers of an elite class. But is was an aristocracy different from the aristocracies of Europe, an aristocracy drawn from the “striving classes.” rather than settled wealth. The notion of citizen-president was a Jacksonian idea. And if one looks at the list of Presidents from Jackson on down, you see that they are drawn seldom from the people but also seldom from the top tier. What concerns me know is that we are closer to become a plutocracy. Fifty years ago, Washington was not a major center of financial power. Now it seems to be overshadowing New York itself, as New York overshadowed the rest of the country, and after the First World War, the world.
I’m not sure imposing our “should declare by” dates on Sarah is wise. She is a God-honoring woman. God will lead her to the “right” time/place to declare. It very well may NOT be September 3rd. I look at it this way: Right now, we are seeing “through a glass”, but soon, prayerfully, we shall see clearly. Whenever SHE decides is fine with me. I pray for her many times throughout every day, and I trust her God-given wisdom and judgement.
Why bother? Gomer Pyle has a better chance in the general election.
No. They weren't. John Adams was born into a middle class family and Franklins father made candles and soap. Sam Adams father was a merchant. Prosperous but a merchant. Quit listening to liberals. These men were NOT "aristocracy" but simply Americans.
THAT’S the American spirit! Can’t do it! By golly our nation was founded on recognizing the impossible! Beat England? CAN’T do it!/s
Point well made, but there is a fine line between believing you can beat the odds and win, and simply kidding yourself.
Hope your day is a blessing.
That's a big YOU BETCHA'!
It looks more and more like that is where she will announce.
We're hoping to see her at the Tea Party Express/CNN Presidential Debate in Tampa on Sept 12th
Ah, excuse me, but Gomer Pyle is President NOW!
Golllyyyy!
Hmmmm, seems some people are starting to make that connection as well.
That would be a bit difficult since Sept. 3 is on a Saturday, and their regular schedule is M-F. ;)
