Today on his radio show, [Glenn] Beck let loose with a torrent of anger and frustration at an issue he described as having been going on for a few weeks now. Before he began, Beck said he would post what he was going to say online, thus forever disproving anyone who thought he was a “shill” for the Republican Party.
Considering the amount of venom he then let out towards the GOP establishment, he can consider his point made.
It all started with a conversation with Rep. Joe Walsh who described sadly the fact that House Speaker Boehner’s office had denied his and other congressmen’s requests to attend Beck Israel rally in an official capacity as a fact-finding mission. Beck maintained his composure during the call with Walsh, offering the Illinois Congressman a free GBTV membership to watch from there. However, you could hear just how frustrated he was with the whole situation as he wondered allowed if Boehner wasn’t just punishing Tea Party Republicans for not voting for his debt plan.
Then, once Walsh was off the line, Beck really got into it:
“Speaker Boehner, you should be ashamed of yourself. The Republican Party should be ashamed of themselves. They don’t have to attend my event. Let them come to our biggest ally and our only friend in the Middle East in their hour of need. They don’t have to attend my event! In fact, I’ll ban them. Does that make you happy? Let Congress come here! You should be ashamed of yourself for playing politics. That’s what it is, Boehner, and you know it. The Republican Party sickens me.”

Since when does a United States Congressman give up his right of association? Where does Boehner get off telling grown-up people where they can travel?
...The 5 is boring & stupid....but Beckel makes it especially vile......everything he says is tinged with meanness.
FOX has become painful to watch. FOX and Fiends has Steve Doocy left. Grinchin and Brayin’ are lost.
I rarely watch them except for about an hour in the morning. They beat my local nanny state Obama news.
Without ethics board approval they have to treat the trip provided by the Isral supporting 501c3 as incme from a lobbyist.
Effectly the speaker is saying pay alone and go alone.
I like Beck but screw him if he wants to throw a party and then have guests attend on the taxpayer tit.
It is a free country, if any congress critter wants to attend then they can pay their own way. Nobody will stop them.
If Beck is pissed that these folks cannot attend on the taxpayer dime then Beck can shove it....
He is just a fat idiot that wrote a check to a prostitute and got caught.

Attending Beck’s event in Israel in an “official capacity” is about more than simply using taxpayer money for travel expenses.
When a Congressman travels in his “official capacity,” he is a representative of the U.S government and therefore is provided certain protections in foreign countries. He travels on his government-issued passport instead of his personal tourist passport. He has diplomatic immunity and is not subject to various other tourist rules. Security is also a factor.
A team of Eric Bolling and 4 idiots filled the slot for the time being. Dana Perino, Bob Beckel and others. I don’t watch it so I can’t say for sure who is usually on.
I know they said the show was only temporary till they find something else to fill the slot.
If I am not mistaken, Beck is already in Israel...and so is a Republican delegation. I don’t know how long the delegation is going to be there, but the rally isn’t until the 24th.
I don’t think Boehner could justify sending a second delegation.
They had to change the site of the rally because of assassination threats.
sometimes it’s funny. beckel is a moron and proves it daily, he is just there for comic relief.

Sorry if Glenn's shorts are in a bind, but the idea that a Glenn Beck trip to Israel is an official factfinding venture, to be paid for by the taxpayers for any Congresscritters who want a free trip is absurd. Glenn Beck, the government's factfinder on Israel? What's next, Paris with Kerry? At least Kerry is a government official, and has a home in France. Glenn shoud quit whining about his lack of access to taxpayer funds to raise his profile.

The 5 is a loss leader for Fox stuck in between Cavuto and Special Report. At least Beck had serious content, despite his propensity to delve in high drama. This new show S-U-C-K-S, primarily due to plastic Bushbot Perino and washed up lefty Beckel. Gutfeld, who is usually funny and entertaining on Red Eye, just looks painfully bored.
