Check out the picture of the "Always Vacationing Mr. Obama" on Drudge. If that's not a girls' bike he is riding, it certainly is a "girly, Metrosexual" bike!

Got curious about men riding bikes:

OK, the last isn't a bike picture, but can anyone imagine Barry taking pleasure in a girl?

Sigh

“That’s ok, I’d rather look like a dufus than actually become a dufus with real brain damage.”

As an adult, I don’t ride bicycles. Horses? Yes. Dirt bikes? Yes. Bicycles? Ummm...no thanks.

As a kid, I rode bicycles everywhere, including off the roof of our house (once). No helmet. Not too much brain damage. Any I had was present BEFORE I tried riding my bike off the roof.

But on a bike path? Only a pansy would use a helmet for riding a girl’s bike on a bike path. GWB wore a helmet, but he wasn’t strolling with his daughter along a bike path...

Cleats vs. sneakers.

Bush rides, barry peddles.

Well, to be honest, I’m first and foremost a mountain biker. However, my worst accidents have been on the road. Concrete is very unforgiving.

Can’t say I’ve ridden a horse since I was 11 or so, but I do ride dirt bikes, and I always wear a helmet then as well. However, dirt bikes don’t do a lot for my heart and lungs. Everyone should do some kind of cardiovascular exercise, and for me it’s bicycles. I’ll guarantee that the guys who think they’re too manly to ride a bicycle have never done an off-road century. It will definitely separate the men from the boys.

GWB showed the way to ride a bicycle like a man. Barry shows how to make it look like only pansies ride bikes.

Presidential leadership! One had it, the other..

A man has to know his limitations. Barry can’t look like a man doing anything.

BTW - if you ever get the urge to try riding a bike off the roof, don’t. Didn’t break anything on my body, but everything hurt and the bike was a wreck.

;>)

Para-Ord.45 gave a succinct summary: Bush rides, Barry peddles.

One is a man, the other an embarrassment.

Lol, I've done it many times, in my 40's even. I just had the right equipment. Now, closer to 50, 5' is my absolute limit, and I'll walk that way more often then not. I've become a big fan of Sally lines that bypass the hard stuff. Getting old is the pits. As much as it pains me to admit it, I am getting more fearful as I get older.

I saw a guy in Austin last year take what must have been at least a 30' drop. That was crazy. I did stand at the point he rode off, and from up there, it looked like nothing but certain death to me. However, he was fine and did it several times to the cheers of a crowd that had gathered to watch.

Oh yeah. GW is hardcore. I’ve never ridden with him, but I have spoken with him at the trailhead of a local trail. I set out after his group, and let me tell you, as my daughter would say, homeboy is fast. He’s got close to 20 years on me, and there was no way I could have even hoped to keep up. He’s just a natural athlete. Btw, he’s a helluva nice guy.

That’s the one! Thanks for posting it. While many of us had great differences with his policies, there is no doubt of his love of country and our warriors.

Dr. Wheeler is a whole lot smarter than you are.

Wow--I'm convinced now. Thanks!

Technically that is a Mixte frame. It is unisex (how appropriate). High end Mountain bikes do not use Mixte frames, however, some use unusually small diamond or resemble mixtes when they are full suspension models.

You obviously know lots more about high end mountain bikes than I do. I’ve just seen lots of “upscale” folk riding around these “girl-bike” looking frames.
