Video: Christine O’Donnell walks off Piers Morgan’s show
Hot Air ^ | 8/17/11 | Allahpundit

Via Gossip Cop, such is the viral potential of this video that you’re going to end up watching it somewhere. It might as well be here and now.

I don’t understand her objection. Did Morgan not let her talk about her book at all during the course of the interview? Or is she just really, really opposed to talking about gay marriage for whatever reason? Unless there’s an agreement before the show that certain topics are off-limits, the host is usually free to ask anything he/she wants. Palin just did an hour of questions with reporters last week at the Iowa state fair and didn’t rule any subject out of bounds, even though she’s not running for anything right now either. Very strange.

CNN, as you might expect, is milking it for all it’s worth.

>>> 1968-Georgia Governor Lester Maddox walks off of the Joe Pyne show:

When you are being compared to Lester Maddox, you have a problem. It’s not a compliment.

Wholeheartedly agree with the poster who says conservatives should more frequently walk off biased liberal media shows.

Just as Perry connects with his comments, so do things like this.

STOP BEING GENTLE, GOPERS.

Yes. Get mad. Way to go Christine.

We have to stop beating ourselves (we conservatives) up, apologizing for average citizens who are conservative running for office. Christine O’Donnell was the only one in the breech against Mike Castle just as other regular people are stepping up to the plate to compete.

And, as a matter of fact, I would much rather have made sure RINO Castle’s career was over and have that doctrinaire democrat in his place. He would have voted with Obama at every issue, including Obamacare. Better to be rid of him. Mark Levin said much the same.

We can disagree, but I won’t apologize for Christine, or other ‘salt of the earth’ types who are willing to take on the establishment.

As for the Lester Maddox comparison, I really don’t care.

Like I said, she ran the gauntlet and no one else did. Of course the Soros-paid liberal hacks are going to attack her with any vile thing they can dream up.

It is up to us in the trenches to fight back.

It was poor behavior on her part> Would any other political figure walk out because they did not like a question? Would Michelle or Sarah? We know the answer to that one. Now she will be painted as a wacko and part of those wacked out Tea Party folks. One’s behavior does affect other you know. It is not a big deal, there are many fine women in the Tea Party movement that represent those folks and themselves well. Dana Loesch Amy Kremer and Jenny Beth Martin to mention a few I have seen or communicated with. Dana would have ate Piers for lunch.

You and Christine have an ingenuous style of combat.

‘You and Christine have an ingenuous style of combat. ‘

I accept that criticism. Yes, we do shoot ourselves in the foot sometimes. And sometimes, we win seats in Wisconsin, Illinois, and other places to shake things up.

Sometimes, we produce news items, videos, and find evidence. We contribute to a lot of candidates who seem to be as inexperienced as C.O. - And sometimes we are the only ones fighting back.

Come up with an idea and run with it. Then we will see if it is your foot that is in the line of fire.

The DE tea party embarrassed themselves and the rest of us by nominating this ditz.

Interesting - that's pretty close to what McCain (who gave us Obama) said.

>>Another establishment liberal hack of a Republican out of the US Senate<<

In exchange for an avowed Marxist CMP member in the Senate.

Yep, people get the government they deserve.

Did you come up with FINOs? That’s great! I’m going to use it.

I’m disgusted by this thread’s animus toward O’Donnell. I’ll take Mark Levin’s opinion on her over the women haters on FR any day.

I loved the fact that she walked off the show. I hate it when conservatives sit there on Matthew’s show and look stupid, following that creep around trying to be fair and balanced and end up looking like total saps. If she had challenged him to a duel, these FINOs would be calling her “ditz,” and “crazy,” and “stupid,” and the usual epithets they throw at women candidates. But when Zell did it, he was, of course, a political genuis.

I happen to like these broad agit-prop gestures on the part of our side. I want more political theatre, not less.

She had obviously had it and she did what any sane person would do: she walked.

How pathetic that people here feel she demeaned them personally, somehow!

Here’s why I think it was good for her to walk off: CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, NYT, etc are wings of the Dem party and the WH. They are not news organizations committed to getting out the truth. Every time a conservative goes to one of these interviews the give those organizations credibility. Our people wouldn’t give interviews to Union Thug Magazine, so why not also ignore the Drive-by media? I know the answer but I think a time is coming when those guys will be viewed by all serious people for what they are.

She’s not ready for prime time. This question is so easy to answer.

“I support traditional marriage. The same as the majority of Californians that voted down legalizing gay marriage hold. Every time gay marriage is put to a vote, it gets voted down. There’s nothing controversial about my positon on gay marriage; it’s the same position most Americans hold.”

I don’t understand why conservatives get so tentative when discussing “controversial” issues. On almost every one of these issues, the majority of Americans agree with out position.

Walking off? No.

Not doing the show in the first place? Yes.

Conservatives need to learn that most of the MSM are not our friends. Their only goal in inviting a conservative on a show is to trip them up and make them look bad.

PA got what he wanted. A 3 second sound-byte to make COD look bad. Nobody will remember what happended up to the walkout, just that she walked out—which will be spun and spun by the left.

We (conservatives) don’t need the MSM.

McCain gave us Obama, and the GOP gave us Coons; 2 Socialists. She would have been a reliable vote for 6 years, I don’t care what she knows or what she looks like.

I donated to her campaign (I’m not even in her state).

She sold my email address, so I could get spammed.

How do I know? My emails allow you to see the history of how they got your address.

The DE GOP voters gave us Coons. Hopefully they use better judgement next time.

I think the delay in support by the GOP (DE and Washington) sunk her. I would have loved to have been sitting next to McCain on Fox News when he said, “The Tea Party gives us candidates like O’Donnell.” I’d have verbally ripped him apart.

Hopefully we won’t see any more such pathetic “candidates” getting nominated from our ranks any time soon.
