Hi! How’re ya doin???
I,m doing great.I see you been flying around:)
Oh yeah, been to the bush (outback to Yanks) or what’s called The Great Beyond. Spent time with an Aboriginal group delivering supplies. Got involved in a cooberie which is a convention of sorts. They love coming up to the plane and looking at it. The kids especially. Also spent time at a cattle station, bunked in with the Jillaroo’s (female cattle drovers). It’s been really great down here.
R/Janey
Sounds exciting.Are the Jillaroo’s like tomboys here.I really couldn’t drive cattle-heheheheheheheh
Thanks, unique, for the kitty.
Arrowhead.....#350!!
beachy.....#400!!
fatima.....#450!!
Jillaroo’s are young girl drovers and Jackaroo’s are guys. The Jill’s are pretty hardy, they have to be. It’s a learning thing for both. Kinda like an entry into adulthood for them. I stayed in a bunkhouse with the “Jill’s” - the station was almost the size of Rhode Island. Needed a helicopter to get around the whole place. The drovers use ATV’s and dirt bikes to herd the cattle, the ‘choppers are used to round up strays. It’s amazing - and FUN!!!!!
That’s so cool .You gotta get us some pics for our next thread.Heck your right, they don’t need horses anymore for that with the dirtbike’s and ATV’s.
I have some great pictures of those Jill’s on horseback. I was driving on a road and there were cattle all over the place, guys on ATV’s and dirt bikes herding them along. I have a great pic of this Jill on horseback. I’ll try to get to a scanner to upload them.
I would love to see them.(((((Hugs))))Take your time.My next thread is up in 3 weeks:)
“Lady”, written by Lionel Ritchie and sung by Kenny Rogers.
