BEDFORD, N.H.- GOP presidential candidate Rick Perry told New Hampshire voters Wednesday that he does not believe in manmade global warming, calling it a scientific theory that has not been proven. "I think we're seeing almost weekly, or even daily, scientists that are coming forward and questioning the original idea that manmade global warming is what is causing the climate to change," the Texas governor said on the first stop of a two-day trip to the first-in-the-nation primary state. He said some want billions or trillions of taxpayer dollars spent to address the issue, but he added:

amen.
Hopefully Al Gore’s head will explode.
RINO!!!!
(oh, wait...RINOs are supposed to believe in global warming...I’m confused)
The problem for the other candidates, is Perry just makes too much sense, and can articulate it so that everyone understands. He may not be Reagan, but he sure has a lot of his characteristics that made him an incredible leader.
This is a BIG plus in Perry’s favor. Only fascists and morons believe in AGW.
Amen is right... Let’s hope Perry can get through the campaign without being destroyed by the media. He’s off to a very promising start.
This is all the more interesting considering all the hoopla on other threads about Perry supporting Gore in 88, implying that he supports Gore’s envirowhackiness too.
Fail.
Perry evidently has held this position for some time:
In a December 2009 speech to builders in Dallas, Perry said a lot had changed in the years since he worked on Gores campaign: I certainly got religion. I think hes gone to hell.
In a 2007 speech to Californian Republicans, Perry said: “I’ve heard Al Gore talk about man-made global warming so much that I’m starting to think that his mouth is the leading source of all that supposedly deadly carbon dioxide.”
The Sex Poodle is not pleased.....
Finally a story that does not try to destroy our front runner. I’m in a wait-n-see status on Perry. I’m going to ignore all the attack stories posted on FR and decide for my self from what I see from him over the next several weeks. The next debate or two will either solidify my support for him, or will make me rally around Bachmann.
Him, not buying the man made global warming lie, is a good start.
Do expect though in an upcoming debate for his comment to be repeated in a question. Thats where we will see if he has integrity, or if it is just a popular stump speech line.
Good for Perry but notice how the AP spins this. Perry didn’t say he doesn’t believe in Global Warming. He says what most of us on the Right, and most rational people, say. The climate has been changing since the formation of the Earth. Global Warming is a theory that isn’t proven and given all the evidence of cooking the numbers and wrong predictions, doesn’t have much support. And he isn’t going to spend trillions on this type of a half-baked theory. That is the most rational position I’ve heard on the issue. Much better than Mitt’s “Well, gee, if the scientists say its true then it must be true.”
The ‘media’ is not the king maker it used to be. Especially, now that the ‘king’ they foisted on us in the last election is such a stupid putz.
Conservatives have to regard ‘media’ praise as practically a condemnation.
In other words, lets get rid of the EPA.
Hopefully Al Gores head will explode.

doubly so, since Perry once campaigned for Al Gore.
but these comments on AGW by Perry are great !!!
and in addition to the anti-AGW statements, Perry made more great statements, about that terrible bill Boehner passed:
“Perry also said he would not have signed the debt-ceiling compromise brokered by congressional leaders and the White House to avoid a national default.
“No I would not have signed it,” he said. “We got to quit spending money.” “
///
Amen!
Is he just saying this or does he believe it?
1) I believe that the climate is changing
2) Human activity is contributing to this
3) Even if we stopped all industrial and agricultural activity, it will not prevent the climate from changing.
Fact is, it is an article of faith among some environmentalists that mankind is a blight on thre face of Mother Earth, that we should all just disappear. This is the view of Anti-Christ.
That is a point in his favor.
Which Republican presidential candidates buy into global warming? Huntsman? Romney?
.
I'm still in "observe and assess" mode as well.
But I've noticed that a good deal of the Perry attack articles are posted by the Paultards.
They've been more active and yappy since Perry announced.
