The ironic thing I had a much more favorable opinion of Perry before Perry and his supporters started with the "Gore was conservative and the TX RATs were the conservative party" nonsense. The more they whitewash history, the more it's lowering my opinion of him.

Before I just viewed Perry as "meh", an OK conservative who just hung around the Governor's office too long and had little to show for it. But more and more he's starting to sound like the Texas version of Romney.
