They aren’t expected to support us until we gain control. Conservatives fell asleep in the ‘80s. We were lulled into a comfortable, secure place by Reagan’s awesome strength and protection. Then? His 8 years were up and all hell broke loose because we fell asleep. The RINOs took over. It will take a few years to regain our dominance within the party.
Oh, I’d disagree. I’d say Conservatives were wide awake in the ‘80s. It was Bush, Sr. who promised to be Reagan’s third term. Remember, too, that in 1988, other than Bush, there wasn’t really a clear-cut successor. As for the establishment RINO guys, they’ve been there for eons. They were trying to undermine Reagan back in the ‘60s when he ran for Governor of California (against “The guy who can win !” RINO George Christopher) and when he ran for President in ‘68, ‘76 & ‘80. One has to be eternally vigilant in battling them.
