After just four days on the road, Sarah Palins bus tour is going dormant again.
In a note posted on her Facebook page Monday, Palin says shes headed back to Alaska for the start of the school year.
Whats next for the former Alaska governor and 2008 vice presidential nominee? While kids crack open their school books, I look forward to continuing my own writing and research on strategies and plans to help move our country forward, she wrote.
Palin noted that shell be back on the road before long shes scheduled to keynote a Sept. 3 tea party rally in Waukee, Iowa, near Des Moines.
Her Facebook note didnt mention it, but shes also scheduled to headline an Oct. 7 rally with Glenn Beck in St. Charles, Mo., according to a local conservative talk-radio stations announcement Monday.
The leg of Palins One Nation bus tour thats now ending lasted four days, beginning midday Friday, when Palin appeared at the Iowa State Fairjust in time for her to catch the attention of the assembled national political media mob in town for the Ames Straw Poll.
On Saturday, she visited Ronald Reagans childhood home in Dixon, Ill., and his nearby alma mater of Eureka College. She was in Eureka when the straw poll results were released, and NBC News asked her what she thought of the results.
The prediction was that it would either be Ron Paul or Michele Bachmann, because they spent a lot of time and energy to make sure they had delegates there who would cast those votes so not really a surprise, Palin told NBC, the only major news outlet following her in Illinois.

A low point for me, too. To this day, I'm scratching my head on that one.
I know it’s dead end with you and the topic.
However, for others I will state that Perry was asked in Iowa about Bilderberger.
He said he was once invited to attend and did so out of curiosity. After that he never sought to go back and has never been asked back.
Quote on the matter...”I guess they didn’t like me”.
I have a philosophy about Perry dead enders...those who brag of their rejection of all things Perry.
Let them go.
Happily.
But do discuss these matters with those who give a rip about the life or death of America and whose minds are not zipped shut.
I'd also love to go to one of its meetings for recon purposes, but then, I guess I'd have to wear a scarlett "B" on my forehead for the rest of my life.

Thanks for the Thatcher info.
Nobody, not Reagan or Thatcher or any name you could name, can pass the muster of these people with this attitude.
They leave us no place to go. It’s just all darkness and the abyss, and we’re perpetual losers to our internal Communist enemies. Because nobody who can win will ever be perfect enough.
You want ‘MSM approval’ of a candidate? Fine, vote Democrat.
Get it now?
This is evident every day on thread after thread as these folks leap to the attack (and distortions) against ANY and ALL GOP presidential contestants.
Right now, Perry is in the crosshairs and under intense criticism. This is because he's catching on with many conservatives here who are honestly vetting him.
Third-party advocates have no place to go, no real organizational structure like precinct committeemen, local party headquarters and the like, so they latch on to web sites like this one with a planned strategy to promote their views and to disparage GOP candidates, establishment and non-establishment alike.

"Fire all of your guns at once and...explode into space..."
Why go down that road again.
Your argument is about as solid as a wet pancake.
If I were in Palin’s position I’m sure I would try my best to help my daughter sell books.
Get real. Having a servant’s heart does not equate with forcing yourself to reject any and all opportunities to help your family.
Palin has been described as “alleycat smart.” This is why she consistently outsmarts her critics. She’s smarter than they are.
It would seem to me that Palin knows she will not lose support merely by helping her daughter to sell books. Think about it, and learn from observing Sarah Palin’s intellect.
I have no idea what you’re talking about, except that if you’re saying there is no way I can be persuaded about Perry.
He’s the worst candidate this year, and maybe for many years.
