Bachmann-Perry Overdrive

The fight for the Republican Presidential nomination is finally getting underway in earnest, with Texas Governor Rick Perry bull-riding his way into the race and Michele Bachmann winning Saturday's straw poll in Iowa. Both events show how unsettled the GOP contest still is, as voters search for a candidate who can beat a vulnerable President Obama.
Mrs. Bachmann, the Minnesota Congresswoman, has emerged from cable-TV land in recent months to be a viable competitor. She is telegenic, a hard worker, and has planted herself at the front of the tea party parade in hostility to all things Washington. This posture matches the current public mood and helps to explain why she surpassed fellow Minnesotan Tim Pawlenty, who dropped out of the race yesterday despite a far better record of accomplishment as a fiscally conservative two-term Governor of a left-leaning state. Mrs. Bachmann is a canny politician.

Palin/Bachmann is the only way she sees a national ticket. Perry wouldn’t be at the bottom of a ticket and neither would Palin. Palin/Perry is too alliterative. Heh heh heh..’ol Rick isn’t going to be VP to a Gal. No way. And Palin is announcing after Labor day. Palin Bachmann would work for me.

Hmmmm, a Bachmann/Perry ticket?! Possibilities indeed. Both very popular among Republicans with Bachmann leading head-n-shoulders among conservatives.
Go ahead Perrybots, I have my flame retardant suit on, LMAO.

MB supporters could care less her record is void of accomplishments.

I would have those those at WSJ would understand the dynamics of the Iowa Straw Poll and that it has little real significance as it’s paid supporters. And that the only thing it does is bring the candidates to the state for meet ‘n greets.

Hmmm... good choice for music. Oe “Takin’ Care Of Business” or both.
To: Ron H.
Bachmann can’t beat Perry in the primary. It would have to be the other way around.

Bob Beckel (or whatever his name is) just said on ‘The Five’, Fox that Perry is too far right to win.

I see where you are going with that.
If we need a Turner to run, I would rather vote for Tina Turner than Ted.

Beckels rampant drug and hooker use in the 80’s and 90’s has destroyed his mind. You cannot be right wing enough in this political environment.

What is your take on that?
They will try to paint Perry as being a far right winger but he is far from that, IMO.

Bachmann cant beat Perry in the primary. It would have to be the other way around. Heh heh, you failed to qualify your statement that this is only in your opinion. I don't happen to share it though. As the drip-drip-drip continues on Rick Perry's past continue to leak out we'll see just how long he lasts. There's a quite a few skeletons in that closet, IMHO. Cheers. Dang, I just love this primary vetting process.

MB supporters could care less her record is void of accomplishments. Please, do tell us all about Obamas accomplishments before he was elected to the Presidency by a landslide.
