Chairman Issa Response on NLRB Refusal to Fully Comply with Oversight Committee Subpoena
House Oversight and Government Reform Committee ^ | 8/12/2011 | Darrell Issa

Posted on 08/13/2011 2:48:53 PM PDT by Hunton Peck

(WASHINGTON)—House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) today released the following statement in response to the National Labor Relations Board's (NLRB) failure to fully comply with the committee's subpoena issued August 7, 2011:

"The National Labor Relations Board and Acting General Counsel Lafe Solomon have thus far failed to comply with a lawful subpoena. This refusal by NLRB to abide by the law further heightens concerns that this is a rogue agency acting improperly. The integrity of NLRB and its leadership is clearly in question.

"The public has a right to know the truth about why a government agency would choose to take action to benefit organized labor that threatens thousands of non-union jobs in South Carolina while setting a precedent impacting manufacturers across the country.

"It is imperative that Congress get complete facts about NLRB's decision-making process in this matter. Its continued refusal to fully cooperate will not deter this Committee as it moves forward in efforts to determine what occurred and to hold NLRB officials to account."

A copy of the NLRB response to the Committee subpoena is attached to this release .

Another Obama attempt to czar and fetter U.S. businessmen and corporations.

Impeachment needs to start now. This isn’t a democrat administration; it’s a criminal fascist syndicate.

Issa sure doesn't have me fooled. He's go’in nowhere. These commies don't relinquish power. When & only when the good people of this nation decide a total cleansing of these commies will there ever be a nation again.

Even members of the mob appeared before congress when subpoenaed.

But then, they weren't as corrupt as they NLRB.

“He’s go’in nowhere.”

I think he’s doing what’s within his power and authority. A total cleansing of commies will take more than the actions of any one congresscritter or committee.

Just like the Department of Injustice ignoring Congress’ request for info on Fast and Furious. The whole of the Obama administration thinks it is above the law. Chicago politics at its finest.

Issa sure doesn't have me fooled. He's go’in nowhere.

You are wrong. Every person in a position to speak out, especially those with some political leverage like Issa, needs to speak out. The principles we seek, personal responsibility, honesty, and loyalty to the legitimate taxpaying citizen, are a collective matter of us all; it is called conservatism.

Smart-Ass gets us nowhere.

As someone said on a thread regarding this yesterday, Chairman Issa should have a contempt of Congress warrant served to a responsible member of the NLRB by a US Marshall and arrest them.

Seems to me like Lafe E. Solomon should be the one served.

Settle down folks. They’ll release the documents as soon as they make the proper changes to the documentation errors that someone mistakenly typed in to the non-existent paperwork.

Dear Mr. Issa,
Do not let this situation fade into the sunset as so many other investigations have done. Keep after these bass t_rds until you get the truth, and nothing but the truth.

God’s speed!

Issa should hire some goons to go physically get Solomon and drag his @ss in front of the committee with his wrists and ankles bound in duct tape. Subpoena by force.

Let the dems know that he ain’t f__king around any more.

(yes, I’m mostly kidding, but Issa and other congresspeople need to start playing hardball and stop with the namby pamby diplomacy and games.)

I hear you. Hardball is the only thing the RATS understand and they haven’t been confronted with it for a very long time.

Obama, the thugs he’s surrounded himself with and the leftists in Congress have to be sent packing.

This is why the Republicans are known as ‘The Stupid Party’. If this was happening in a Republican administration, House whores Pelosi, Wasserman-Shits, Van Holland and the 4 top Senate whores, Schumer, Durbin, Reid and Murray would be having press conferences literally every hour on the hour 24/7, screaming and raising pure hell. Plus, Kerry (who, by the way, served in Vietnam) and every other Dem senator would be lined up, with talking points in hand, at the door of every single network and cable channel trying to repeat the message. Sunday talk shows would extend their shows back to back around the clock to accomodate them. BUT, the Party of STUPID, just has Issa issue a statement on the House Website. The Repubs need to give a Bagala, Weiner or Carville 2 million bucks and say: “OK, here’s your tax-free money.... now teach us what to do, because we’re too frigging STUPID to know how to do it ourselves.”.

You can’t handle the truth Darrell.

They did what the President told them to do.

Same as the ATF and FBI and CIA did in operation Gunwalker.

Same as the EPA is doing shutting down coal mines and electric plants.

There is your truth.

Now do something about it.
