Here we go again.

I really dislike the border bots feeling like they own the conservative terrain on this.

Reagan signed amnesty and his is the revered icon of conservatism. Bush and Perry have done and said far less but they will be tarred and feathered on this.

I still do not believe giving the Democrats the House and Senate in 2006 was worth all this.

Honestly, which of the Republican candidates will be more strict than Perry? Will Perry be better than Obama?

I think the answers are fairly clear and yet there will be much internal bloodletting on this.

Reagan had "Operation Wetback" as a guideline and saw it didn't work so he tried something different. Bush and Perry knew from Reagan's experience that it wouldn't work and did it anyway.

We don't need another Jorge Bush or Juan McCain.

As others have posted to you - that was thirty years ago and represented about a million illegals. We are talking tens of millions now.

Honestly, which of the Republican candidates will be more strict than Perry?

There was Tom Tancred and Duncan Hunter but the likes of you couldn't bring yourselves to support them - they were too far right.

NOT learning from Reagan's mistake of trusting kennedy and the rats on Amnesty as well as trusting tipp o'neill and the rat turds on tax increases in exchange for promised future spending cuts... is a major negative. We need to look no further than the recent debacle of boehner and the rinoids passing a bill built on the same misplaced trust of proved liars and thieves (dims). Reagan was not perfect... but he was a GREAT PRESIDENT... and repeating his mistakes is not the hallmark of a great leader. Reagan would never have passed a second Amnesty nor did he pass any further tax increases... because he learned from his mistakes... which I wish that I could say the same for many other republicans... many that presently hold office and many that are running for office today.

No, some of us don't want Perry....

..and no, that doesn't mean we cede the Presidency to Obama...
