But what comes through most is that he’s so AMERICAN, and he LOVES his country!

Hmmmmm.... Is that why's he's spouting slogans in spanish????

“The message is simple,” Perry concluded, “educacion es el futuro, y si se puede

Jeez people.

Rick Perry once shook hands with a Muslim and didn’t take his gun out of his holster and shoot him, so therefore he must be a CAIR-supporting, Sharia loving Muzzie sympathizer!

BANISH HIM!!

[I can live with a Perry administration if we have a Tea Party Congress]

EXACTLY!! And any way you slice it, Perry is a million times better than the current occupant of the White House!

To say “CAIR Supports him” is as inaccurate as saying “Republicans are Racist” simply because a handful of them across the country might actually be.

Exactly. Thanks, RockinRight!

“The message is simple,” Perry concluded, “educacion es el futuro, y si se puede.”

WHERE DID YOU GET THIS?!

HE SAID NO SUCH THING

Yes, I am shouting! STOP making things up.

We shouldn’t have to be talking about having a Congress that will make a Republican president do the right thing.

“she makes such long sentences, it is hard to follow her point”

Ditto here. BO rambles in long sentences as well. I want plain and simple layman’s talk so I can understand the point or opinion being offered. I don’t want to have to read between the lines or look for a hidden agenda. That that I’m saying Palin has a hidden agenda. I’m just saying what I expect in a candidate.

One of the advantages of Perry as Prez is that we won’t be seeing mom-pants anymore.

"I still don’t know that much about Perry. I do know that he signed an executive order that would force all 6th grade girls in Texas to receive a vaccination for a STD. That was a bad move and a blatant violation of personal liberties."

I read that as well and it seems to be the #1 attack on him. I did some research and learned that the drug was already being provided at no cost to low income people in Texas. Insurance companies would not cover the vaccine for regular tax payers unless it was on the states list of "mandated" vaccinations. What is not usually mentioned though is that the governor's "forced" vaccination policy included an opt-out provision for parents. The opt-out was made even easier by Perry by putting it online.

If a parent can easily opt-out, I'm not sure how it can be called "forced" "mandatory" etc etc.

I'm relatively new to this issue and would welcome any additional info on this from Perry critics.

I can’t help it, but as I’m listening to Perry speak, I’m hearing George Bush. He sounds just like George Bush. Just as long as he doesn’t act like George Bush, I’m ok with that. But the intonation is eery.

Yes, the voice does sound like George Bush, and he even looks like him.

Both are great ladies. Neither can win an election. Book it.

You are 100% correct. Neither one will ever be president.

**That is what people across the country will hear (and see).**

Does that mean we can accuse them of being Texaphobic?

Because of his accent? I do see the msm and apparently others trying the “he’s stupid” ploy. They played that successfully with Bush and Palin.

Isn’t it time we got out there and countered some of this garbage? Are they saying we can never elect another Texan or is it Southerners in general?

We need to focus on issues, not accents or geography.

Interesting. His handlers are Establishment guys and that probably makes them squishy on energy policy—even though their candidate is from Texas.

Let me fix this for you.

Maybe Palin will get the nomination and go on to lose the Presidency...

And then 4 years later we'll all be here on Freerepublic going "How could we be 28 Trillion in debt? Sarah Palin said the right things... 80 million illegals, how could that be? She wore a JOGGING outfit... Fifteen new Federal Govt Agencies? I don't understand... she had great turnout at rallies and everything! She even got 39% of the vote!!

We had high hopes for another "tough talking Western Conservative" a few decades back in '64 who lost just as badly!

The GOP controlled both Houses of Congress during that time and only legislative drek was the end consequence. See Medicare Part D. If they want to argue that they’ll do better next time, promising to rollback that nonsense that THEY put into place during Dubya’s time in office would be a good start.

Christie just appointed a muslim judge to the state court. Support whomever you wish. And I will do the same.
