ISLAMABAD: Former US presidential candidate and senior Republican Senator John McCain is arriving today in the capital as part of ongoing efforts by the US and Pakistan to repair ties damaged by the Abbottabad raid on May 2.
McCain, 75, is also a senior member of the US Senates Arms Services Committee, which has the power to approve or deny military assistance to Pakistan.
He is the most senior US figure to visit Islamabad since Washington withheld $800 million in military assistance to Pakistan last month.

Maverick McCain arrives in Pakistan”
How much would it cost us in “foreign aid” for them to ensure that he never leaves?

I have no problems with Juan going to 'Pockeyston'.
What bothers me is he might come back.

After McCain held two Town Halls here in Arizona and taking a verbal beating at both, I presume ole John fled to Pakistan where the people were more friendly! :)

ensure that he never leaves Hey Juan, there's a nice house available for you in Abbottabad whose previous resident "passed away" suddenly in May.
How about moving in there and staying indefinitely? I mean, your diplomatic services are needed there far more than in the U.S.

The reason McCain is called a Maverick is because he often trashes his own party. The MSM ( liberal) loves him for that...
But the MSM NEVER has a liberal 'Maverick" because that would be a liberal trashing a liberal...
The press is such a suck-up to dems? Do they know how obvious it is to anyone outside their group-think?

The Valar withdrew from direct involvement in the affairs of Middle-earth after the defeat of Morgoth, but in later years they sent the wizards or Istari to help in the struggle against Sauron. The most important wizards were Gandalf the Grey and McCain the RINO. Gandalf remained true to his mission and proved crucial in the fight against Sauron. McCain, however, became corrupted and sought to establish himself as a rival to Sauron for absolute power in Middle-earth. Other races involved in the struggle against evil were Dwarves, Ents and most famously Hobbits.

Another pre-emptive crossing of the aisle by the expert in “reaching out.” Seems to me the Pakistanis ought to be sending someone on his knees to Washington to repair the ties damaged by that country’s wilful protection of Bin Laden for so many years.
But, no. McCain sees it as an American failing.
I agree with the other FReeper who asks how much in foreign aid it would take for Pakistan to keep McCain. I’d throw in a little extra to include his moron daughter.
