The latest trend in the media world is “trending.” That is, monitoring what people are buzzing about and directing coverage accordingly.
Just as the unspoken sometimes reveals more than the spoken, what’s not trending suggests more than what’s trending. In all the many thousands of words written in the immediate aftermath of the Republican debate in Iowa, two words were scarce: Sarah Palin.

I’m impressed.
A whole pile of words trying to impress upon us, without any real evidence, that Sarah’s day is done.
Ms. Parker does not really say much of anything, beyond dishing a whole lot of snark.
If Sarah’s so over, why do we need to be told constantly?
“The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.”
Sarah is the “second mouse.”
I’m not even going to bother reading it because I know what it will say. I am, however, wondering if Sarah might be acting a bit too coy for her own good.
I can’t speak for anyone else, but her reluctance to crap or get off the pot is moving into genuine annoyance territory as far as I am concerned.
Well, the jig is up. It’s all over for Sarah. Again. /S
Sarah has been declared over about a zillion times. Parker is jealous and always will be. When Sarah becomes prez, Parker may end up in an asylum.

No bias there, huh?
99% of the electorate in this country aren’t even paying attention to what’s going on right now regarding the candidates. Times have changed, the old rules don’t apply anymore regarding campaigns. With the Internet, and social media, things can turn on a dime.
I know but hang in there, she has painted herself into a corner regarding September...in other words she said strongly we would know for sure by the end of that month.
That sounds like "profiling."
Can we begin "trending" at the airports, too?

When I first heard of a new CNN show to take the place of Larry King, I figured Parker Spitzer was Elliot Spitzer’s wife and she would be co hosting with him. Dumb name for a show and funny to see it fail. Even the current version with just Spitzer, the hand writing is on the wall and he will soon be doing reality tv or the tv rounds the way Rob Blagovich was doing before being sentenced to jail.
After Christmas would be soon enough for me. I like the early look at the potential field, but gee whiz, gag me with a spoon. I don't want to know all about everyone's nose hairs 14 months before the election. We still have time to impeach Obama, frankly, if we get busy and get the job done.
Me too. I would be ok with December. These debates are entertaining and I look forward to them but let’s face it, they’re there to tear down the candidates. GOTCHA. Newt was my hero last night for calling them on it.
In Washington, DC, Kathleen, there is someone who should be shepherding us through the mess with austerity measures and a business building/border securing/tax cutting/regulation ending/Government worker laying-offing President...
...but he’s fundraising and going to Martha’s Vineyard.
You jealous little Marxist moron.
An article written to talk about how no one is talking about Sarah.
Yeah, that makes sense for circulation.
Kathleen Parker - A woman in love with the sound of her own voice/ sight of her written word, sharing that love alone.
How many times can that twit write the same basic thing? Does she EVER try writing something ...I dunno...new? She’s the Queen of PDS.
No one has talked about her, so here is a column talking about how no one is talking about her.
Why not a column about Kathleen Blanco. No one was talking about her after the debate either.
Kathleen Parker is such a tool. Totally jumped the shark when she endorsed Obama and has been nothing but hateful towards Sarah Palin.
Parker isn’t half the woman Palin is.
Post of the week award!
