SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral will hold a memorial service Saturday for Chief Petty Officer Robert Reeves - one of two Navy SEALs from Shreveport killed when their helicopter was ambushed in Afghanistan.

Cathedral spokeswoman Bess Maxwell tells The Times that Reeves had said he wanted to be buried at sea, and that burial will take place later.

Maxwell says 33-year-old Lt. Cmdr Jonas Kelsall will probably be buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. His family now lives in California.

The two were friends from childhood and classmates at Caddo Magnet High School. They were among 38 people killed when the helicopter was shot down Saturday.

The governor's office says the service will include the head of the Louisiana National Guard and representatives of the state Department of Veterans Affairs. A spokesman said Gov. Bobby Jindal, who has ordered state and U.S. flags lowered to half-staff statewide until sunset Sunday, was unable to clear his schedule to attend. Jindal's initial order had the flags at half-staff through sunset Friday. He extended the tribute on Wednesday at the request of Reeves' family, said Kyle Plotkin, Jindal's spokesman.

For sure, sailors, but there were also some Army special ops with them. I thought I was using a more generic term by saying soldiers...or maybe I should have used both.
