I am not at all surprised.

Frank Hull is a first class judge. I knew her back when she sat on Fulton Superior Court. I was lead counsel in a real hot-potato case: a challenge to the City of Atlanta/Fulton County "assault weapons ban".

She is indeed a liberal, and she told me she wasn't very happy about ruling in our favor, but the law was on our side and that was that. I told her I understood. :-D

So she doesn't let her politics interfere with her judging. She's also extremely smart (she was a partner at a big Atlanta litigation firm before she went on the bench).

She is an excellent judge and a real "profile in courage". She's going to catch some flak from her colleagues for this.

“She’s going to catch some flak from her colleagues for this.”

She may switch sides before too long. More than one liberal has switched to rigtwinger when her colleagues went mental on her. Leftist rage more often than not goes over the top.

I had to check. "Frank" Hull is a woman...

Johnny Cash, step aside. Instead of "A Boy Named Sue" we now have "A Girl Named Frank".

What’s your take on the ruling and it’s implications?
