The recent protests against the repressive Assad regime in Damascus have seen thousands killed by the Syrian army and security police. But the unrest has also given Iran the excuse to pour thousands of secret police, undercover agents, and members of the Revolutionary Guard into Damascus and the surrounding countryside to prop up the regime of Bashar Al-Assad. In turn, this gives them a prime position on Israel's border, poised to attack at any moment. This in addition to the hundreds of millions of dollars Iran has given to Hezbollah terrorists in Syria and Lebanon to use against the Jews.
Israeli military leaders have told me they are preparing for Iran to use Hezbollah and Hamas to start conflicts within Israel and on its borders that would tie the Israeli military down and prevent an attack aimed at Iran's nuclear weapons program. The Iranians have provided long-range missiles capable of striking at key military and economic targets deep within the tiny nation of Israel.
The enemies of Israel grow bolder with every passing day. They see the reality that Israel's so-called friends will not help her in the current crisis. They realize that America is now led by the most anti-Israel administration in its history. They see the United States and the United Nations doing the work of harming Israel without them having to launch a single missile or fire a single bullet. They know that if the plan to create a Palestinian state succeeds, they will have the greatest opportunity to destroy Israel they have ever seen.
Understand this clearly—every nation and individual that supports the United Nations and Obama Administration plan to curse Israel and steal from her the land God promised the Jews as an eternal possession will suffer His chastisement and judgment. Every nation and individual that opposes this plan and stands with Israel as a blessing to her will enjoy His blessing.
America is on a prophetic countdown to the gravest days in our history. In a few weeks, a vote will be taken at the United Nations that will force America to choose between standing with Israel and standing with her enemies. Israeli leaders have asked the Jerusalem Prayer Team for its support at the United Nations and a week later as the nations of the world gather for the demonic Durban III conference to continue accusing Zionists of being racists. The first Durban Conference occurred in 2001. At that conference, the Palestinians distributed copies of the anti-Semitic The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion to all delegates. It was the most evil, anti-Semitic UN assembly ever against Israel.
The conference ended on September 8, 2001...and 72 hours later, the US was attacked by Radical Islam. I can assure you that in the spirit realm, this was no coincidence. God's Word promises a curse on any nation that touches Jerusalem. Once before, an American President attempted to divide Jerusalem and surrender the Temple Mount to radical Islam. That president was Bill Clinton. Now President Obama plans to do the same—this time by formally recognizing a Palestine State at the UN in September within days of the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
I do not believe for a second that all the economic and political turmoil America is going through is coincidental. America needs Divine intervention that can only come from God's people standing in the gap like Esther.

It’s confusing. There is another battle talked about in Psalm 83 with different players, the inner ring, and also there is a prophecy about Egypt being uninhabited for 40 years, Ezekiel 29, when possibley the Aswan dam is destroyed (by nuclear weapons?). (Perhaps God is mad at them for breaking the current treaty as they are doing right this moment?)
Perhaps these things all take place before Ezekiel 38 and 39 when Israel is living in safety and security, all of them, in unwalled villages and doors and gates without bars...

There is a Biblical prophecy of Damascus in ruins too.
With all my heart I hope that “ANOTHER” nuclear exchange in that region will never materialize and hopefully the Jews will see to it that there will be no repeat of such an event but just in case it does it certainly would not be the first time for this to happen as the last nuclear exchange in that region took place on the Sinai Peninsular approximately 4000 years ago or 2024 BC and found its way in to history books as the event which became known as Sodom and Gomorrah. (Isn’t it amazing how history attempts to repeat itself?)
What lead up to this incident was when Marduk marches on Sumer, enthrones himself in Babylon, Fighting spreads to central Mesopotamia, Nippur’s Holy of Holies is defiled. And by the way, the remaining scars from this first nuclear exchange in that region can still be seen from a satellite photograph.
The question remains will mankind learns from its mistakes or are we condemned to repeat them until we learn from history.
