BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. A writer desperate to get a movie script read suffered the ultimate rejection Thursday when police blew up a briefcase he said contained the screenplay after an agent refused to read it, police said.
The bizarre story was set in Beverly Hills, where a man visited the office of a literary agent and left behind a briefcase that he said contained a computer, police Sgt. Brad Cornelius said.
The man left instructions for it to be delivered to someone at the business, who told another person in the office, "This guy's been kind of pestering me to read his stuff" and said he neither asked for nor wanted the briefcase, Cornelius said.

either a new "Diehard" or Obama: The Musical sprang to mind for some reason. :-)
Either way, this one blowed up real good.
You can’t make this stuff up, folks.

OOPs!
I guess this wasn’t in the script. :-]
—
The screenwriter, who was not identified, apparently left his briefcase — with the computer and script inside — unattended at a talent agency office.
Beverly Hills Police Lt. Tony Lee said police, not knowing what was inside the briefcase, detonated it as safety precaution.
Lee said the owner was distraught when he learned what happened to briefcase.
I think he can take that as a ‘no.’
Don’t know if you read the one post on Freep about the movie they are making about Obama and the killing of Bin Laden? And guess when it is to be released? One month before the election. Do I need to even guess this will be portraying Obama as a superhero, going into Matrix-like slow-mo as he ducks the bullets from the evil “insurgents” while yelling and firing off a chain gun? Then a crowd of people carrying him on their shoulders as women weep and throw flowers at him.
I guess the script was a “bomb”?
More likely a "dud."
Sony will be sorry it ever hitched it’s wagon to the O train.
Leni Riefenstahl will be watching from a virtual Hell, I’m sure... wishing she had tears to wipe away..
I vote this guy:
The man left instructions for it to be delivered to someone at the business, who told another person in the office, "This guy's been kind of pestering me to read his stuff" ... who couldn't just say no.

Reportedly, they determined afterward that it contained a laptop and some papers. I wonder if the dude had a backup? Cue Carbonite commercial ...
Hopefully you get a commission for that...
