Why are you so sure that Perry’s record will put him into the positive? The more I learn about him, the further he moves from being an acceptable candidate.

he's a proven fiscal conservative
He's ex-military
an Eagle Scout
not from the Ivy League politician mill
He's pro business
anti tax
for cutting spending
and he has executive experience as governor of the 2nd largest state in the Union
I think most voters will see these as a plus.
I think guaridsil and the TTC issues will be put to rest in the debates and people will see he has a pro growth plan for America.
