This Texan does not want to do the nose hold when voting again. RINO Gov. Goodhair has used up his 15 minutes.

Since Perry doesn’t support illegal immigration NO PROBLEM! Governor Perry has put more law enforcement on our southern border than the damned feds whom we pay to protect it!

RE "Then I guess you think Reagan is a RINO then.. He did sign an amnesty bill."

~ 30 years ago. That is brilliant thinking.

Maybe we should copy 1980s cold war foreign policy to apply to today's situations too. Maybe Perry can go to Pakistan and give a 'Tear down this Wall' speech. I am sure that would end world Islamic Terror.

I’ve already read it. Their attempt at legislation doesn’t mean a hill of beans. There was no mandate in the first place it was propaganda. And in the second place Gardasil is STILL AVAILABLE to those that want it, just like his ExO said!

Who would you vote for, Perry or Obama?

It wouldn't be "for" either but once again "against" the most evil. Why should we keep settling for these RINOs? Surely, there is a conservative candidate out there.

WHAT? We can't call someone a RINO? You said WHAT? Are you one of those “compassionate” conservatives?

You'll LET us criticize a candidate as long as you can control the words we can use? How big of you.

Sorry, I'll continue to exercise my free speech rights without running them by YOU first.

“Palin/West 2012 accept no substitutes.”

So, you think you get to pick the VP nominee? And you will accept nobody else?

NO, nobody misses the point but you? Which legal residents would that be that can’t access in-state tuition? Did you think Perry made in-state tuition not available to Texas kids?

Exactly WHOM are you talking about?

Liz, all this pro Perry or else talk on FR looks alot like the 2007 lead in with McCain. Same tired old rhetoric “lesser of two evils”, “he’s changed”, “no one else can win” “he’s a military hero” ad nauseum from the same tired old crowd of GOP establishment pragmatists willing to bend over and take it from a liberal republican instead of a liberal democrat. It’s pathetic.

No one said you couldn't. I was just asking for us to show some civility in the discussion, even when we disagree. First of all, we seem to be getting into the mode where we are killing our own candidates simply because we don't agree with them on every issue.

Secondly, the level of vitriol exhibited on this forum is beginning to resemble DU. Suddently, anyone who disagrees with you is a RINO, a liberal, etc. It's sad, because we are supposed to be better than that.

I can oppose a candidate without tearing him down as a person, and I can disagree with someone without calling him/her names. Can you?

We haven't nominated anybody yet.

The fact that you are so sensitive about criticism of your guy speaks volumes.

Excellent insight——he must be using the copyrighted “John McCain Election Losers’ Handbook.”

No, there were so many grammatical, spelling and syntax errors that it made no sense.

I'm trying to not be pathetic. :) I'm also not carrying water for Rick Perry, or for any other candidate, yet. What I'm wondering is for those, like you, who think Perry is another RINO in conservative clothing, who will you support? Who is your candidate, and why would they be better?

We have a ton of choices this time around, but no frontrunner, which makes me think no one in the race is particularly exciting. Who would an anti-Perry conservative like to see as nominee?

He would no longer work just for the people of Texas, he would be working for the whole US. Hopefully he would be cognizant of this. Americans first, always.

And that's all it is-- a hope. There are things I like about Rick Perry, but his open borders stance rules him out for me.

It is easier to undo a fuster cluck like RomneyCare than amnesty for tens of millions of socialist voting amigos.

Me or my kids in Maryland. He gave illegals in Texas preference over us and we were born here of US citizen parents the old fashioned way, legally.
