A real sentence, with a $5,000 fine, or just a potemkin put-on to fool us rubes?

Should have been 5K for each illegal registration.

“...defunct grass-roots community organization”

Defunct, hell, it's just been renamed.

“Grassroots” my @$$. ACORN is that stuff you buy at Walmart with the picture of the bull on the bag to spread on your lawn.

A measly 5K fine for stealing the rights of Nevada citizens. NO WONDER THEY DO IT....

Having HArry reid in office is worth tens of millions of dollars to these people.
Simple Risk/return calculation

This is ridiculous. ACORN has not disbanded and there are people that need to go to jail.

Good grief. I just Binged (I do not Google) “District Court Judge Donald Mosley”, and it looks at first glance like the guy is an ethical and personal train wreck — disciplinary sanctions, an out-of-control son who was involved in a fatal street-racing crash.... I don’t even know where to start with the postings. Just look him up.

Could not the person in charge of the ACORN org. of Nevada be held responsible? Surely there is someone who should go down for this.

Judge fines ACORN but wanted prison

...he would have slapped the individual with a 10-year prison term. “And I wouldn’t have thought twice about it,” Mosley said.
