I just noticed on Twitter and Facebook that the Left is calling for a US Day of Rage on September 17th.
The Twitter #s are: #USDOR, #occupywallstreet, #revolution
Facebook: Occupy Wall St. or US Day of Rage
They invite people to occupy Wall Street and DC and State Capitals.
Publius is Very Unhappy! Bring your tents! Wall Street belongs to us! Demand the the top 2% pay their fair share!
Lots of tweets but the Facebook pages are low volume.
In addition, there is a group of Muslim activists that are pushing this and in England for the rioters to overthrow the government.
My question to them would be: then what?
Is that the first day of hunting season in any of those locales?
both my wife and I just tried to log on to facebook and can’t get on. Anybody else having problems getting on?
Nope, no problem getting to the page in question.
But if you are unable, be thankful you are not subjected to the idiocy there.

Re your #102 - I had “access denied” when I tried to log in to facebook about an hour ago. It said that fb was temporarily down for “maintenance”.

Um, they are talking Wall Street. NY City. Your second amendment rights are not recognized in NYC.
Personally, I would like to see them try that crap in someplace like Texas, or Alaska - someplace where people are as likely as not to be armed at any given time. I bet they don’t have the guts.

Checked that “Occupy Wall St.” site, and do not get the impression that it is all that well organized, nor does there seem to be an outpouring of enthusiasm for it at this point.

Was just reading their sites: US Day of Rage and Occupy Wall Street. No real message or purpose. No exPlanarion of grievances or redress.
Far as I can tell, the leasing banks via the Fed, helped us trade worthless paper for foreign goods and services. We got to build a ton of homes and fill them with stuff. They got soon to be worthless paper.
No protest needed. The banks will collapse. The US Treasury will not bail them out and will default on debt to the Fed, China, Japan and on down the list.
Well keep our houses, commercial buildings, and infrastructure and build a self-contained free market Republic.
