If an L.A.-area resident wants to have an NFL team, the new team could play at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, which is where the Raiders played for 13 years. That coliseum has about 100,000 seats, and it hosted many Olympic events, in 1984. If a new stadium is built, that would be a huge waste of money.

The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum is a crumbling theater prop made in 1921 out of a giant oval made of dirt smeared with a thin veneer of antique cement.

Historic, but it needs to go bye-bye.

Actually, it wouldn't matter if it had 200,000 seats. Without the luxury boxes/apartments and high rent fixtures, the NFL teams are not interested. The seats for the unwashed hoi polloi are not that important.

But the Coliseum has no fancy boxes! No comfy seats!
