URGENT: Controversy Surrounds Wisconsin Jobs Now! Personnel Inside Polling Site
Media Trackers ^ | 8/9/11 | Collin Roth

At Milwaukee Ward 259, the Cudahy YMCA in Northwest Milwaukee, election observers vehemently argued over whether members of Wisconsin Jobs Now!, an organization embroiled in scandal and tied to Rep. Sandy Pasch via Citizen Action of Wisconsin, were allowed inside the polling site wearing Wisconsin Jobs Now! t-shirts and buttons.

The controversy began just after 12:30 PM when a volunteer election observer challenged whether Wisconsin Jobs Now! personnel driving voters to the polling location should be allowed inside the building. Democrat election observers and Wisconsin Jobs Now! personnel argued that Wisconsin Jobs Now! is not in violation of GAB rules that forbid election observers from wearing “clothing or buttons related to candidates, parties or referenda.”

Wisconsin Jobs Now

Milwaukee Election Commissioner Bob Spindell arrived on the scene as election observers tried to get a hold of Milwaukee Election Commission Executive Director Sue Edman and Wisconsin Government Accountability Board officials to determine whether WJN t-shirts and buttons qualified as “related to candidates, parties or referenda.”

Last week, Wisconsin Jobs Now! personnel were forced out of the Milwaukee Election Commission office during early voting based on this criteria. Milwaukee Election Commission officials and the Government Accountability Board are trying to determine if the same standard will be applied to election day polling locations.

On August 1, Wisconsin Jobs Now! organized “block parties” that offered voters free food, raffle tickets, and a ride to the polls to vote early. When informed about the event, the GAB indicated that the event was illegal because free food and rides to the polls should not be combined.

Furthermore, Wisconsin Jobs Now! is deeply connected to Citizen Action of Wisconsin, an organization that Democrat Sandy Pasch and her campaign treasurer Jackie Boynton sit on the Board of Directors. Wisconsin Jobs Now! has held events that have featured Sandy Pasch For Senate signs and others that have denigrated opponent Alberta Darling. Citizen Action of Wisconsin has spent thousands of dollars on anti-Alberta Darling mail pieces and has staged demonstrations in Senate District 8 including the bizarre Medicare funeral.

TMJ4 and other news outlets have reported that Wisconsin Jobs Now! and Citizen Action are indeed deeply connected. It is up to GAB officials to determine whether Wisconsin Jobs Now! and Sandy Pasch are connected, making the actions of Wisconsin Jobs Now! a violation of election law.

Sandy Pasch is crooked! I’m sick of her misleading ads running on TV that say Alberta Darling is trying to end Medicare! Wisconsin State Senators have absolutely nothing to do with Medicare!

It also seems odd that there were people waiting in line to register at our poll today.

Welcome to the voter fraud machine enabled by Motor Voter same day registration laws.

Lots of out-of-state Democrat “Activists” doing there patriotic duty by fraudulemtly voting in a district they don’t live in today, I’m sure.

AND DON’T YOU DARE ASK THEM TO PRESENT ID!!

“misleading ads running on TV that say Alberta Darling is trying to end Medicare! Wisconsin State Senators have absolutely nothing to do with Medicare!”

it’s sad, but there are a LOT of people out there who will believe it, without question.

Our-dumbed down electorate

I don’t live in Wisconsin, but have Republicans come back with their own ads? especially answering issues of Medicare and showing how school districts have improved?

Hey the Dems cheat and we let them. So they win. This is what happened in 08 and it will happen in 2012. When have you seen the Republicans fight when it has been known cheating took place? We don’t. Right here in Colorado The Democratic/Communist Senator Bennett won by a sliver. The Republicans know there were at least 5000 illegal votes but eh... what the hell. It’s gonna happen again today in WI and nobody will bat an eyelash. I hope like hell I’m wrong and the WI state Senators keep their seats.

The other side has a perpetual slush fund of confiscated money in the form of compulsory union dues.

Republicans have no money because fickle, petulant people don't donate.

I'll almost be surprised if Republicans hold on in WI.

There is no way that the Pubbies can counter the avalanche of money that has poured into Wisconsin. Remember, these union folks are fighting for cash money - the ultimate motivator for a lib.

Have they run a commercial at all pointing out all the outside money that has come in to influence the election?

People don't donate because the Republicans have shown time and time again that their party leaders don't spend donated money wisely.
