How politically damaging is the Standard & Poor's credit downgrade to President Obama? The answer can be found in the vociferous attempts by the administration to blame everyone else. You only do that if you're worried.
snip . . .
Mr. Obama knows that the public is unhappy with this blow to America's financial stature, and presidents get the blame when such humiliations happen on their watch.

I've heard:
Hope and Blame
The president and staff are in a "blamestorming" session.

Reminds me of an old Yiddish proverb:
“The girl who can’t dance, says the band can’t play.”
Sound familiar?

Blaming others is what children do, you have a real problem of excessive debt that can’t be ignored, blamed on others, or solved with accounting gimmicks.
He’s the wrong child at the wrong time in the wrong place, he couldn’t even run a successful lemonade stand -and that is not hyperbole, he doesn’t understand anything business related.
Unfortunately America will suffer greatly for this electoral mistake.

Unfortunately America will suffer greatly for this electoral mistake.Obama has made his changes so pervasive that we will not be able to repeal them once he is gone. Irreversible! America will be screwed eternally.

Money running to treasuries from stocks right after the downgrade. Bizarro politics, bizarro economics.

(Obama will heretofore be known in history as the downgraded President.)

I agree with Charles Payne this morning, DumBO comes out after the 6th worse day on the stock market and three days after U.S. debt downgrade and gives a campaign speech, as if we want more of this.
