(Rules for Radicals - Saul Alinsky - 1971)......"Obama learned his lesson well. I am proud to see that my father's model for organizing is being applied successfully beyond local community organizing to affect the Democratic campaign in 2008. It is a fine tribute to Saul Alinsky as we approach his 100th birthday." --Letter from L. DAVID ALINSKY, son of Neo-Marxist Saul Alinsky

In related news, doctors who have been unable to cure AIDS
when applying huge numbers of leeches have renewed their
call for even more leeches, noting that this medical
technique is precisely as effective as economic stimulus.

I could write this one in my sleep. More jobs will require more stimulus, which requires more spending. Because the Tea Party personally prevented the government from borrowing enough money, taxes will have to go up. The Dems don’t really want to tax and spend, the Tea Party and George Bush are making them do it.

The U.S. Congress sets a federal budget every year in the trillions of dollars. Few people know how much money that is so we created a breakdown of federal spending in simple terms. Let’s put the 2011 federal budget into perspective:

” U.S. income: $2,170,000,000,000
“ Federal budget: $3,820,000,000,000
“ New debt: $ 1,650,000,000,000
“ National debt: $14,271,000,000,000
“ Recent budget cut: $ 38,500,000,000 (about 1 percent of the budget)

It helps to think about these numbers in terms that we can relate to. Let’s remove eight zeros from these numbers and pretend this is the household budget for the fictitious Jones family.

” Total annual income for the Jones family: $21,700
“ Amount of money the Jones family spent: $38,200
“ Amount of new debt added to the credit card: $16,500
“ Outstanding balance on the credit card: $142,710
“ Amount cut from the budget: $385

Whew! I’m glad they got that all worked out to our benefit, aren’t you? I feel better already.

Well, let's see. The first "stimulus" pushed us into the multi-trillion-dollar debt range. Still have a AA credit rating. Hmmm, let's see how much damage another "stimulus" does.

Captain on the bridge of the Titanic: "Looks like the first "stimulus" iceberg didn't sink her. Well let's go full speed ahead and see what happens. Good night."

“If Congress fails to extend the payroll-tax cut and the unemployment-insurance benefits that I’ve called for, it could mean 1 million fewer jobs and half a percent less growth,”

He's been wrong on everything so far.
Maybe the American people should just ignore him until 2012. Give him a gum wrapper to play with.
