The Olympics are another annoyance. Our local park, which “we, the people” own, shut for two damned weeks for the equestrian events.
With the amount of police we have though, I would seriously advise extreme caution if you want to come to the Olympics.

Apparently there is only one water cannon in the whole of the UK, and that is in Northern Ireland. Not that it matters. The RUC is the only force trained to use the thing anyway.

At least in most of the USA, the shopkeepers can defend their shops. It may not end well because there are so many entitlement leeches, but it will be a fight.

One has finished her apprenticeship in 8 years, and is now employed full time by me. She was in tears when we went to the workshop this morning.

Even in Kalifornia we are allowed to defend our shops with guns. The main problem in defending a shop or home is fire. You have to setup a screen or zone around the shops/homes and keep the rioters away. Looks like some British were employing those methods last night using swords, pots and pans.
Do they — the chavs — have Dads or just single moms with a rotating set of boyfriends?
