Allow me to disagree, from what I see the police only respond to SOME crime.
There are others which they will not touch with a ten foot pole, take for example the semi-recent Indiana Supreme Court declaration that Indiana no longer recognizes the right to resist unlawful police entry(1); or look at the number of States which prohibit in their Constitutions the disarmament on Citizens which have laws doing just that (courthouses and State buildings are a great place to look there).

So true. And honest. Also the reason that myself, my wife and my daughter have CCW licenses in CT. But carrying out of state is made virtually impossible by the surrounding states.
Lived in Ohio and now in North Carolina and we could and can carry in all surrounding states. Always felt squimish going to Chicago but my wife still carried and she’s a better shot than I am so I felt better.
