The marching orders have gone out for The Big Lie of the Day.
Expect this Big Lie to be repeated endlessly by most corrupt elements of the Regime Media at CNN, NBC, Washington Post, ad nauseum.
Incidentally, this was a huge defeat for the “Tea Party”: $900 billion in “cuts” really mean $7 trillion more in debt.

Democratic Congress spent us into a Debt Crisis and they are blaming the Tea Party.

That might work on the true believers but I’m seeing a lot of my liberal relatives just shaking their heads at the democrats these days.

Rules for Radicals #13
13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. In conflict tactics there are certain rules that [should be regarded] as universalities. One is that the opposition must be singled out as the target and 'frozen.'...
"...any target can always say, 'Why do you center on me when there are others to blame as well?' When your 'freeze the target,' you disregard these [rational but distracting] arguments.... Then, as you zero in and freeze your target and carry out your attack, all the 'others' come out of the woodwork very soon. They become visible by their support of the target...'

Obama and the Democrats spent the U.S. into near-bankruptcy then just added another 7 trillion in debt. TEA party activists in congress tried to thwart this but failed. Some just caved, full of oh-so reasonable excuses. Now, the left is attempting to blame the TEA party for the S&P downgrade? How absurd! Obviously, their meme will be that the downgrade came because the debt ceiling deal didn't include more taxes and even more spending. TEA party Representatives and Senators must fight back on this gigantic lie from the left. I doubt many Americans will buy it, anyway, but it's transparent that the left is attempting to kill two birds with one stone. Shift the blame for the S&P credit rating downgrade from Obama and the Democrats to the TEA party (conservatives) - and demonize the TEA party as 'dangerous', etc. Same old smear tactics but the Republicans can't sit back and assume everyone knows this is fallacious. This despicable lie MUST be challenged, hard and often.

You will never convince some goofy people (I have several in my family). However, few are going to buy into the fact that the Tea Party members are the cause of the downgrade. If anything it vindicates their position.
