A sports radio talk show host's short-lived Twitter posting calling Giants pitcher Ramon Ramirez an "illegal alien" had the Internet world in an uproar Saturday.
Tony Bruno, a die-hard Philadelphia sports fan whose nationally syndicated show is broadcast on KNBR, posted his comment on Twitter after Ramirez hit the Phillies' Shane Victorino with a pitch Friday night, sparking a benches-clearing brawl.

Makes one wonder how Ali calling Joe Frazier a “gorilla” and an “Uncle Tom” would have been handled with today's technology.

I think it's safe to assume that an MLB team will get it's non-citizen players the necessary work permits. It's not like Dominican Republic players are something new in the major leagues. Tony Bruno recently lost his spot on KNBR, the Giants flagship station - might be a bit of sour grapes.

No, he is in the country legally doing a job that Americans are incapable of doing and earning 1.65 million dollars a year.
