Dean: What is tea party smoking?

Former Democratic National Chairman Howard Dean says the tea party was "totally unreasonable" in the deficit-reduction debate and warns that Republicans are being held hostage.

"This is a tea party problem," Dean said Sunday on CBS's "Face the Nation." "They are totally unreasonable and doctrinaire and not founded in reality. I think they've been smoking some of that tea, not just drinking it."

"This is ridiculous what's going on here," he said.

The firebrand Democrat and former Vermont governor said the Standard & Poor's downgrade of the nation's credit is "a good thing" because it underscores the need to raise revenue to address the nation's fiscal crisis.

But he said certain elements of the Republican Party make it impossible for reasonable people to do what Dean said is right -- raising taxes on the wealthy.

To a hard-core Leftist, or pretty much any of the current batch of Democrat Party Leaders, the mere notion of a Government that is aims to be a fiscally responsible, non-Socialst, Constitution abiding form of Democracy is a Wild Drug Fantasy.

This jackass made more sense when he was on stage screeching.

What bothers me is the fact that these people had to be waterboared to call the real terrorist, “terrorist”.But easily call tea party memebers “terrorist.”

“The liberal elite establishment are shocked at the slave rebellion.”

Correct. I was just thinking how much 2011 resembles the start of the French Revolution. It started out as a middle class tax revolt which was later co opted by communists.

Not an exact analogy.

Another talking point is that Standard & Poor’s has zero credibility because they totally botched the sub-prime mortgage bond ratings by overstating their value. While that fact is clearly true, to my mind, THAT was the aberration. S&P has done literally millions of ratings, and their overall performance throughout its history has been excellent. Of course, when they give out a rating that is harmful to democrat prospects, their entire credibility becomes the issue.

Dear Dr Dean

For once in your worthless existence quit lying. You and the rest of the DC political machine are to blame. The facts on this issue are painfully clear. This is too serious a matter for you political clowns to be allowed to continue to play stupid DC games

From Para-Ord.45, yesterday comes this quote, which needs to be stated often!

-S&P exec John Chambers,

“But $4 trillion would be a good down payment. We thought that..if policy makers could deliver the goods on that, then that would be a strong sign on our political scores and eventually on our projections on the fiscal side.”

S&P has already said it may slash the Triple-A rating if a debt ceiling deal is not accompanied by what it deems is a credible plan to cut the $14.3 trillion federal [debt] by $4 trillion.

S&P’s Chambers is saying the ratings agency wants to see at least a $4 trillion deal, one that would come with bipartisan support.

There was only ever one plan that did what S&P said was required — $4 trillion in cuts with bipartisan support. That’d be Cut, Cap, and Balance — a plan that cut $4 trillion and got bipartisan support in the House of Representatives.

As Democrats tonight, and some Republicans, lash out and blame the Tea Party for causing the United States to lose its credit rating, it is worth pointing out that only the Tea Party offered up a plan to avoid what happened.-

They-are-skeered-to-death-of-the-TEA-party!

The tax slaves are rebelling.
No slave labor - no support for the democrat base. If there's no money to support the parasites, they're going to start to realize the democrat politicians are not Gods - they're nothing but low life shysters who lied to them for the sake of their own power and privilege.

The democrats preach about sharing the wealth, but not one of them is willing to share their own multimillion dollar bank accounts with anyone!
The democrat base demands we all share the wealth, but not one of them ever mentions sharing the labor.

Howard Dean gave the commencement address at my daughters UVM graduation a few years ago. His address went..we won ..we won ..we won..Obama won...Obama is god...

At the conclusion of the speech, my daughter who withstood four years of brain washing and came out a right winger, texted me and said ..YYYYEEEEAAAAAAAA!

If I had my suicide vest on me, I would have taken him out.

The Tea Party is the new Bush. The Democrats demonized Bush to win in 06 and 08. They are trying to do the same thing to the Tea Party.

the Demscum are obsessed with raising taxes because they are far to “unreasonable” to simply make the govt live within its means....

Demscum are corrupt whores for the unions and leftist thugs who try to force all of the country to live according to their SOCIALIST vision

of course the Demscum are not honest enough to acknowledge and defend their SOCIALISM

It won't work. The Tea Party consists of millions of American taxpayers - the ones who actually pay for everything. They're the wrong people to be attacking right now.

Bush was a single person. The left was able to isolate the target. They can't do that with the millions who hold the purse strings. It's like the old saying goes - "Never bite the hand that feeds you."
No spending or tax revenue by the Tea Party or it's supporters - no money in Washington for the democrats to buy votes with.
