Byron York -Pawlenty needs to gain the most in this poll. On Rick Perry/prayer rally - Perry raised the bar for open “reliogisity” among candidates. Iowa prefers “reliogisity”.
Susan ?, Washington Examiner - Contest between Bachmann and Pawlenty comes down to which candidate can get the most people to the polls.
Kirsten Powers - Wallace asks her about Romney. Powers agrees Mitt is the one to go after (as the frontrunner).
Juan - thinks Pawlenty may not be sufficiently strong enough to take on Romney.
Fox Sunday Panel on downgrade.
Juan - obama is the man in charge, people can’t keep blaming it on others/past. Congress has been blamed the most according to polls (vs. obama).
Byron York - Wallace puts up NY Times poll - Republicans are blamed more on the job outlook. York comments S&P’s report comments on the politics of what is happening vs. results as others typically do.
Susan/Washington Examiner - Both sides (Dem,Rep) are very philosophically divided, end up in standoff, public sees this and blames this division. S&P’s warning with this downgrade may get them past their gridlock (like TARP). Does believe we will see Revenue increases (taxes).
Kirsten Powers - S&P wasn’t saying this was a bad economy, it was a comment on the people in charge right now - they’re not doing what needs to be done.
